Yes, it's open, the drinks are great, and the food is too. And the atmosphere and decor is top notch. Will it make it? **** if I know, but I plan to go again.

...market. Anything could be labeled a speakeasy if it's in a nondescript venue.

Thanks. It's suppose to be a "bar for adults". I assume that means it's expensive drinks and swanky, small porportioned food.

At one point it was only suppose to serve MS beers. Not sure if that's still the case.

It was a limited drink menu when we went, but I don't recall any craft beers. Yeah, I think they want to cater to an older crowd, much like Commander Bobs.

Seems like most of downtown is becoming older crowd - last few times i've been in old venice or zorbas, i've known a lot of people my age (mid to late 20's) and fewer students. Don't know if that's just a game day thing or what.

We ate at the place above Rest Tyler, and it was pretty solid. Best tamales I've ever had, coming from someone that doesn't like tamales.

The Hotel Chester Beer Garden has an older feel too.
