UGA-Tenn is the only other major matchup that weekend besides Ole Miss-Auburn. Honestly, it depends on how we start the season. If LSU is 4-1 or 5-0 heading into that game (play UGA wknd before) and we are at least 3-1 (and have beaten Auburn weeks before), this likely will be an ESPN night game. I can see UGA-Tenn being the CBS game. Now, if we beat Oklahoma State this weekend, all bets are off and we are in hunt for 2:30 game.
As far as ESPN goes, I think we have some kind of hand shake agreement with them about not putting our big home games (SEC) at 11 this year. Pretty sure it was one of the things we asked for in return for moving to Thanksgiving.
One good thing about the new TV deal is going to be a lot fewer 11:00 games since CBS is no longer going to have exclusive rights to the 2:30 - 5:30 time slot.
terrible as they may have been I kind of like watching old games with them. I guess it's for nestalgic purposes, because I was in college during part of their tenure. I can remember waking up every day in the fall on Saturdays and watching football nonstop. It brings me back to a time when there wasn't a care in the world. Being an adult sucks....
