I don't have any problem with him protesting, its his right. But I have the right to disagree with it, and I do.

Hes a giant hypocrite for whining, but then not even registering to vote.
He didn't really bother me until he came out and said he didn't vote. Lost all credibility and respect for him. How do you aim to be an advocate for people who don't have a voice and not vote? What a joke.

What we need to understand is Kaeperrnick is not the brightest boy in the class. He's the fool that others lead around by his nose.

Even understanding that I do immensely enjoy every sack, interception and incompletion he experiences. I watch SF games hoping they lose each and every one of them.

Did you happen to witness the "Pearl Harbor Celebration" and the Navy Officer's comments ref. "not taking a knee & rising to honor the Stars&Stripes/Natl. Anthem"??? That was a moving & poignent reminder of the true significance of our devotation to this symbolism!!!!!

He has every right to say and do what he damn well pleases. And I have the right to express my approval/disapproval as I see fit.

African American athletes like Jesse Owens and Arthur Ashe transcended race and expressed themselves with dignity; they have my respect.

You can't say that about colin kaepernick (no capitals because he doesn't deserve them). He's a sorry self promoting piece of work.

I don't know anything about that. I know about his protests and such, but that doesn't bother me, even though I served my country. Don't agree with how he goes about it, but I have no reason to wish ill on anybody for their beliefs, regardless of how much I may dislike them.
I feel like people that attack him personally are the hypocrites. Very narrow minded to believe that their way is the right way, and the only way.
This is a country founded on the freedom to express your individuality, after all.
Not calling out anybody in particular, but if the shoe fits.
I served this country too. With that said, I have an issue with a public figure protesting in the manner he is with the knowledge that he's never, at age 29, taken the time to register to vote. Never voted in his life. Had he weighed in by voting to change things he disagreed with, I would respect him more. Refusing to vote and then carrying on his public display makes him nothing more than a whiney ***** with attention seeking behavior.

Times ten.

The only thing Michael Jordon or that Southern Miss/GB quarterback tells me about a product they are endorsing is that it will cost more than it should.
They endorse products? Interesting - I guess.

I do not have any respect for the overpaid jock, if he does not like this country try some where else. I spent a yr in the jungle of Southeast Asia during the end of the Nam war, I remember people like that was protesting the war burning flags spitting on soldiers , he takes this country freedom for granted..Freedom is not free.
Thank you for your service, chevyman. I was Navy 1969-1971.

With that being said, Kaepernick is a piece of crap.

I hope the SOB never plays another game as a professional. There are other ways to protest, besides using the National Anthem, or Flag. To many women and men have died for that bastard to not respect it.
I respect the right for free speech, but that is not free speech, even though the Supreme Court said it was. If you took a vote of the American citizens, it would not be free speech. I did not like the war in Viet Namn, nor the war in Iraq, but if were going to be a nation of laws, I, as a citizen cannot pick and choose which war is OK. Yes, I was a USAF pilot during Namn, and thought we shouldn't be there, but that didn't keep me from serving to the best of my ability.

I felt that same way. Defended his right to peaceably protest whatever cause he believed in however he felt would benefit the most. It's a 1st amendment right, and i stand by it.

Then he didn't exercise the greatest effect he could have on change in this country. A thing that black men and women actually died to attain in this country. A thing women of all races were jailed for trying to attain.

When he didn't vote in this most recent election, he lost all credibility with me. And maybe that doesn't mean anything, but that's where i am now. He's just a guy trying to draw attention to himself.

I don't watch him if he comes on the channel I have on. I don't watch the game if he is playing. I have no interest in anything he has to say.
There is no way I would let him play if I were his coach. First of all, he is not very good, second of all, he put himself and his opinions above the team.
This country is the free-est of the free. You can live and do as you please here because people have died and been terribly disfigured or handicapped so that you can. The symbol of all that sacrifice and dedication s the American flag. To dishonor that is the lowest of the low.
It is shameful to me that their coach would ever allow this man to play one play. I would use the punter as my QB before I would let him play.

I hate seeing him suck solely because I'm a big Niners fan, but he's a POS and needs to be cut. That and Chip Kelley was a bone headed hire by that organization. I knew that would be a fail from day 1. But Kaepernicus is a ******** and needs to be gone yesterday.

Hard to get away from them, I usually just ignore it or change the channel for a minute. The worst I ever remember was Bradshaw, Flutie, Emmet Smith and several others selling long distance calls for 5 cents a minute way back when it was expensive, from listening closely it sounded like a real scam, did anyone ever try it and get overcharged?

For years a WWII Vet attended the same church I do. Every Memorial and Veteran's Day we would have a special ceremony to honor all Vets. This older gentleman, who was probably close to 90, was there every Sunday and had to be helped in by a couple of his relatives who also carried his oxygen tank. During the ceremony the song for each branch of service was played and vets were asked to stand during their appropriate song. I'll never forget him calling out to the others to help him stand when the Army anthem, "The Cassions Go Rolling Along" was played. I'm sure he would disagree with Kaperjerk's stance if he were still alive.

So why is someone expressing their disdain for him and his moronic mindset any different? He has a right to express himself and anyone else has a right to call him out on his stupidity. If you want to condemn America on one hand and praise a murderous dictator who suppressed free speech on the other, you should be treated like the brainless clown you are.

Well put.

He's pretty irrelevant to me on an irrelevant team. I'm a Titans fan and we are in the playoff race this late for the first time in a few years so some cupcake 49ers team QB protecting is hardly on my radar. We have to find a way to beat a very good Broncos team tomorrow.

I'm wondering if idiots like Kapercrap really know about Fidel Castro, as neither history or current events are taught in the schools these days. I knew all about Castor when I was 5 years old as most people talked about him like he was ready to invade the USA at any minute. The total hypocrisy of this idiot is exposed as Castro was one of the most oppressive dictators and human rights offenders in history.

What Castro did was trade one dictatorship for another, both not worth crap, and he got a lot of true patriots that followed him killed in the process.

I am taking my personal freedom to say that Kapersuck is a piece of crap for supporting Fidel cutthroat commie. He has a right to not do anything, but so do I and I hope he falls flat on his sorry face. The owner of that scum team needs to be called out also for not demanding his players stand up when the National Anthem is played. If you don't agree with me it's no sweat off my balls.(basketball) for those that have sensitive ears.

A much better question is if they know anything about Fulgencio Batista.......
