Anyone else frustrated by CBS' coverage of the "Tiger-Masters".

They literally showed Mickelson about 3 times. I understand that he really wasn't in danger of doing anything spectacular but at the end of the day, Tiger is -5, Phil is -3. Hell, they didn't even show Rory McIlroy as much as they showed Tiger.

I understand that he is (without a doubt) a marketing god to them but dammit. It reminded me of a few years ago when they showed tape delayed Tiger highlights over showing the actual live tournament that he wasn't in any danger of winning.

I'm a Phil guy, sue me.

Also, no way in hell Tiger gets the record anymore. He just doesn't have that 'it' factor anymore. These young guys just aren't worried about him anymore when you can snicker in his face with no response anymore.

i don't remember them missing any of rory's shots. Tiger was in contention for most of the day, and when he really started to slip there were only a couple of groups still on the course. Couple that with the fact that it's tiger and that's what everybody wants to see and they have to constantly show him. I will say that I was completely surprised at the lack of exposure that phil got. I remember looking back and thinking that he must have blown up becuase i had heard nothing of him all day

frustrated with the coverage. I want to see every single shot of Tigers. They also showed every one of the two leaders shots. Tiger was at even par on the 7th ysday then ended up at -7. He's -5 and in the top 10. If he comes out and gets to -8 on the turn you're going to see an awesome finish. Tiger needs Roy to choke a little on the front 9 and then it's on. I can't wait to watch. Don't be surprised if Angel Cabrera ends up winning with the Tiger chase and the pressure all on Roy. Sets up for Angel to sneak away with the jacket again.

I'm still a Tiger fan. I would be happy to see him win the Grand Slam and break all kinds of world records. But its disgusting the way CBS shows his every move while they miss coverage of the other players.

On the fifth hole, they actually showed a slow mo replay of Tiger's reaction to missing his putt - not just the putt itself, but a specific angle of Tiger's reaction, complete with a 17 bomb you could easily lipread. Meanwhile, KJ Choi was playing with Tiger, was one shot ahead of Tiger, and they didn't show a single one of his shots on the Fifth. They may have showed his drive on tape delay, but nothing else.

As the coverage continued, they showed most of the putts of everyone on the leaderboard, but they didn't show every shot. And they still kept showing replays of Tiger's reactions to his own mistakes.

It gets frustrating, but at least I was watching the coverage delayed so I could skip through the garbage.

the way the coverage went. Your right, Angel could easily walk away with the jacket.

When Tiger doesn't participate in tour events, TV ratings plummet and attendance figures suffer. In other words, he is the main attraction on the PGA tour. Why wouldn't you show that - especially when he is in contention.

CBS had a special on Mickelson before the broadcast yesterday. I thought I was watching 30 minutes of an Olympic feel good story. You should have watched that.

But they are really doing everyone a disservice; the fans, the other players, even Tiger who could do with a little less public scrutiny. I guess Nike likes the exposure (although I think everyone should trade in their Nike putter for a Scotty Cameron immediately).

They show Tiger's every move. I use 30 second skip sometimes when they first cut to Tiger sizing up a putt. I can seriously hit the skip button 3 or even 4 times before Tiger even addresses his ball. During that 2 minutes, they could easily show 3 other players executing their shots, and still have time to come back and watch Tiger groan in agony as his 3 footer lips out.

And, when the hell do they not show a special on a 3 time winner especially when he's the reigning champ? Also, since they showed a special before the round started means that they should not show him again? I did watch it and it was great to see what a person can win and act like. Phil is winning the Masters while his wife is battling cancer. Tiger is answering for sticking his dick in anything that would have it

Also, I fully appreciate DirecTv's and cbssports.com's coverage but I shouldn't have to find people outside of Tiger being covered. Only reason I enjoy seeing Tiger at all anymore is to watch his implosions.

I could have understood if they showed him all day Friday, he was making a charge. Yesterday should have been all about McIlroy and Cabrera

they receive regardless of how good or bad they are at a given point in time.A lot of the disdain for Tiger is for exactly the same reason. If the media would back off and let Tiger`s golf speak for itself fewer people would dislike him. I just tired of having the guy shoved down my throat as some sort of golf god and would rather make up my own mind about him.

No one needs to see Tiger spending two minutes trying to read his putt, taking multiple practice swings, swatting at a non-existent fly, and then over-reacting when he misses the putt. Show us the action. I have nothing against showing every single shot Tiger takes, but its all the milling around that annoys me.

I'm a Tiger fan. I love watching him play....as I'm typing this Tiger just curled in a long par putt on No. 9 to stay in a tie for the lead. Its exciting.....but I don't need to see him eat his power bar on the tenth tee.

no question about it. What was frustrating is knowing that after yesterday, they would be showing every Tiger shot whether he had gone on a run or not. His round yesterday was very avg and yet he got 80% of the coverage.

There is nothing more exciting in golf than watching him explode a course in a major. He just destroyed the front and who knows what he will do on the back.

so much because he's the greatest golfer ever and very likely the greatest athlete in any sport of all time. He absolutely obliterated the PGA from 1997-2009. He has gone through knee surgery and the sex scandal over the last year and a half and yet still here he is finishing in the top 5 of the masters. When you win 14 majors before you're 35 including several massive victories like winning the US Open by 15 strokes and increasing the money involved in every aspect of golf by 10x what it was before you became a pro you get a lifetime supply of tv coverage. Think about this for one second, Nike had nothing to do with golf before Tiger Woods!! The man IS golf. Get used to it.

ratings. it is a simple fact that when he plays, the ratings are much better and when he is in contention they are better sat and sunday. i'm not a tiger fan but its a fact.

i thought the coverage was pretty fair. the run tiger made on the front was worth showing and he was right there till charl whoever closed with the 4 birdies. they covered mcilroy fully till he melted down on 12 and was totally out of it. for the most part they showed the players who were playing well. unfortunately phil didn't deserve a lot of coverage yesterday. the covered him early but when it was clear he wasn't going to make a run they moved on to the contenders.

i was fortunate enough to attend Saturday's round. we went the practice area to watched the majority of the leaders warming up and sure enough Tiger's the first one we come across, on the putting green. very intimate setting there, btw. .. pretty darn close. anyways, after a few minutes of watching him miss 5 footers, we make our way over to the driving range to watch freddie hit some drivers. on our way over i walk past this blonde kind of standing there, by herself, just staring at Tiger. It was obvious she had no other interest than him. I thought she was prob. just a groupie, but a few minutes later i walked by her again, when tiger was hitting balls, and heard her say toacouple other guys, guys that appeared to be assoc. with the tourney, or tiger himself, say"yeah he told me last night he felt he could make it today..." .. I assumed this to mean Tiger. I pretty damn sure she was his interest/girlfriend/fling/etc ... and let me tell you she was slluuuuuuuttyyy. I'm talking t.p.t. *****. Overly tan, implants, sucking down cigarrettes.

thats my point. When he's not losing charl swatzen----, then he might be worthy of some coverage. Whats truly funny is, after the round was over, you realize he wasn't really ever in position to win. No one wilted to Tiger Woods and gave him the strokes he usually won by. The only one that seemed to wilt in the face of Tiger was Rory and I would argue that had more to do with his being 21 and dealing with his 4th day of Masters pressure (and first Sunday lead) than it had to do with Tiger...

His day is over... At least I sure as hell hope it is. I don't mind at all seeing him and his attitude relegated to mediocrity. His little gay point at the cup?!?!!? Does anyone ever think about what a dork he truly is. If you ever did have of the 'poses' that he does on the course, your friends would laugh their asses off at you. He's just too much of a 'performance' for me. And, I am truly a person who used to like Tiger Woods. I am just worn out by him

and I am not saying I could either with the first class poon he is offered. But, when he sticks it in the wrong one and it all comes out again that his apologies were complete BS, he will lose every chance he ever had. And, I bet it prob won't take a full year.

If any other players in the Mastersin contentionhad anywhere close to the number of majors as Tiger, I'm sure theyw ould have shown them a teeny tiny bit more. It's their job they know what they are doing. Also thanks for trying to sound like a professional golf analyst....gotta be the first time I've read that Tiger doesn't have that "it" factor, did you think of that all by yourself? He will break the record....whether it takes him 5 more years or 10, he will break it.

why don`t one of you Tiger fans check his record(especially in majors)before and after the PGA started random testing and let the board know what it is.

Also, I completely agree with the HGH. What you Tiger fans don't fully appreciate is how shot his knee truly is. You cannot recover from 2 major surgeries and be anything close to good for most people. BUT, the biggest thing is you damn sure cannot survive on it for long term. His knee is shot and he doesn't have the HGH or the blood transfusions to help anymore...

Also, if you need anymore help understanding golf, just let me know. I am here to help

From 1970 to 1978, he finished in the top 10 in 31 out of 33 majors. And he finished 11th and 13th in the other 2.

I think Tiger probably wins 1 or 2 more sometime in his career. Great players often find a way to do that after they've fallen from their prime. But catching Jack is looking fairly doubtful right now.

Tiger has finished in the top ten in 34 of his last 50 majors and in the top six in 18 of his last 23. He's hardly fallen from his prime and I fully expect for him to win at least one a year for the next five years.
