It is the one game of the year that I just cannot enjoy at all until it is over and we have won. I keep a nauseous feeling from the thought of losing to them. I can't even bear (no pun intended) to watch the game sometimes. Against Bama or Auburn, I get a bit jacked up at the prospect of beating them but I don't dread game day. Am I crazy? Do I need to see Kodi's shrink (yes we do have a team psychologist)?

The thing I keep thinking about is our defense. They haven't played up to their potential the last two games, and I know Mullen is on Diaz's *** to produce a good game on the defensive side of things. Our offense will keep putting points on the board like they have all season once we start running the read-option, which Nix has proved time and time again he cannot stop. It will only be close because this is all the bears have to play for. But to answer your question, I am not worried as much this year as I have been in years past.

Just can't help it. We're better coached, much more consistent, and so forth and so on....but I can't feel anything but unsettled. It'd be a crappy way to end a good season.

And, oh by the way, I took State -2.5.

I get risk-free satisfaction if we win, but bear (sorry) none of blame or responsibility if we lose. I refuse to forfeit the fun of the most exciting week of the season to useless emotions of fear and dread.

It seems we never took care of business. This year, we were riding high on a 6-game streak, and now we've lost two tough games. Even beyond the rivalry, there's so much riding on this game.8-4 seems miles ahead of 7-5. We just can't afford to lose.

For me personally: We win, and we're in a nice bowl, and I'm going. We lose, it's watching the Independence from home and being disappointed.

I am always a little uneasy, but this year I feel that we should win cause we are definitely the better TEAM as whole. We might not win, but I am not worried about a blow out like I used to be. I feel more confident simply because we have been at least somewhat consistent throughout the entire season (minus LSU) and have at least been able to stay with teams week in and week out. Consistency is something we have not had in a long time. Our team is coached better than is has been in years and we have enough playmakers to keep us in most any game. We still have a long ways to go to be a great team, but I am confident in saying we are a GOOD team. +%#! is a BAD team with a few really GOOD players.

I'm very worried about this game, as the situation is a reversal from last year. The last 2 games have me concerned about our defense. IF we can make long, time consuming drives to score, keep Masoli off the field, I will feel much better.

1. It's a rivalry game. Yes, Dan has won all of the games that he is supposed to win, but a rivalry game is a little bit different than Houston. Things happen. Although, I do think that Dan will have us prepared. I'm not so sure that we could ever really say that under Croom when we played the Egg Bowl on the road.

2. It's on the road. See the last sentence above. But, it's tough to win on the road in the SEC. We have, however beat Florida on the road this year, so that's relevant because that means that our team knows that they can win on the road. But, it will still be tough.

3. Chris Relf's passing. Now, I will say that yes, Chris had his best game through the air in my opinion against Arkansas, and yes, I am aware that Ole Miss has had trouble in their secondary. But was this a "game of his life" deal with Relf? Or has he turned a corner? I'm optomistic that he has turned a corner, because last year about this time, he really stepped his game up as well. But there's no guarantee either. And yes, I and everyone else in America realize that Nix can't stop the zone read and we may very well be able to beat them with it again this year without much of a passing game, but if we can pass, it will help my blood pressure out immensely in the fourth quarter.

I've seen a couple of people say "The roles are the same as last year, just reversed". I say not so. Let's not forget- we were a better team last year than our record indicated, and last year Ole Miss had a very easy schedule when compared to ours. Also, last year we were competitive in most every game except for Auburn- and we had a lead in that game for a little while- and to NC Alabama. Arkansas put some garbage points up on us late last year, but we played much more respectably than the score indicated. This year, I would say our schedules are more similar in terms of difficulty- although ours is still more difficult- and we have simply performed better and more consistently.

Last year, even though we had a losing record, the team's attitude was still very good, and very optomistic. I don't know that you could say that about Ole Miss right now. They've had a really disappointing season, and they've had a lot of things go wrong, and you can tell by looking at their body language on the field. This is really all they've got to play for right now.

Once again one team is playing to get past Memphis while the other is playingfor "pride". This amounts to a whole **** load of apathy from college football fans on a national scale. I look at thisyear's game as anotherblip on the schedule. Wake me up whenat least oneteamis playing fora berth in the SECCG.

and paid some firm to tell you to do it.

Oh yes, people shouldnt call you black bears for the SAME reason bama shouldnt be called the elphants.

That is what is so +@@*%+% funny. You imbiciles think everyone should just morph right into thinking this black bear **** is something that you've had for years. a tradition.

Well suck on it you prick. You abandoned your traditions, paid someone to do it and you dont want to be called by the icon you elected.

It's freaking hilarious. but only less so than the fact that you took the time to come over here and tell us how much it gets on your nerves.

Now, go back fire the 17ing chancellor, pay another 140 grand to another firm to tell you to be the rebels again so this **** can end.
