was that they couldn't play defense. I've actually been impressed with their defense the past two games. I think they beat Ole Miss straight up. I'm not a gambler though so no chance of putting money where my mouth is.

I could not believe the -24 spread last week for UF vs ARK. Mark it down. Ole Miss will lose this weekend.

Without boring anyone with stats, suffice to say they've given up close to 400 yards each of the last 2 weeks, which on average would rate them last in the SEC. What has made Arkansas look good the last 2 weeks is the fact that they've recovered 7 fumbles, 4 of which have either been inside their 20 or the opponent's 20. That happened twice against UF and twice against AU, and obviously changed the games dramatically. Got to give them credit for recovering the fumbles, but that's pretty unusual.

Ole Miss's defense has been less than awe-inspiring, while Arkansas's Offense has been rather impressive. I think Arkansas wins by at least a touchdown.

I don't know who wins but the spread will be less then 6 points. I think we will see a 1 to 4 point spread.

I really think Arkansas is the better team too, and I think they should win straight up, which is why I wouldn't bet on it.
Arky is coming off two straight really emotional games where they played very well, so they could have a letdown, and if anyone was ever due for a breakout game or emotional win, OM is.

State at 24 looks almost as good as Arky did honestly.

Ole Miss' Defense is 23rd in the country and 8th nationally in pass defense. Maybe you meant the offense?

was on here Saturday telling us about how Fla's defense was struggling this year. I had to remind him that they were number 1 in the country.

Some people just dont seem to pay attention

That's beacuse they can't stop the run, no need to pass on the Rebels if you can run the ball.
I think Ark will be able to pass at will, Mallet is pretty damn good.
Take the points on this one...

Bama straight-up ran on Ole Miss by controlling the line. UAB got nearly all of their yards on scrambles (i.e. not a traditional running game). You say that there's been no need to throw when you can run, but teams are throwing more than 31 times a game against OM. That's pretty typical. Moreover, that average is lowered because UAB only threw 12 times, because the QB broke-off a number of passing plays and scrambled because of pressure. Somehow, the midgets in OM's secondary have figured out how to cover somebody and the DL can get pressure.
Arkansas winning sure wouldn't surprise me. And their WRs may get open and run wild in the Ole Miss secondary all day. But, the numbers so far don't bear that out.

What numbers are you talking about? Ark is number #1 in passing offense in the SEC and #12 in the nation. That's what I am seeing... We will find out Saturday.

... and I never said they were bad. I just meant that up to this point in the season, I haven't seen anything to make me think they are all that great. It's easy to put up good numbers against soft competition.
