Duh, homosexuals don't use them. It makes them sound more elegant and articulate. Contractions are so gay. **

My wife swears he's been taking speaking lessons. He's been told to slow down and not try to say too much at once. Go back to day 1 of the SECN and it's night and day.

This was my thought after hearing today as well, vs. early this year or the national championship game last year especially.

He's adding some inflection, slowing down.

Not to overanalyze (too late?) but he kept using "balled" as a verb today, as in "He balled last week." Whatever coach he has needs to get that under control too.

He's gained more confidence in the last month. He has a great knowledge of the game and he's using it effectively.

So you would rather hear "he performed well last week"? I think balled is fine whether it's correct English or not
