Anyone else notice when Hunter Renfroe is batting

and he takes a swing that his back foot is always moving around, specifically away from the plate? Everything that I learned back in the day was contrary to this. I have noticed it with Brownlee as well. You would think that a college hitter wouldn't have this problem.

The Big Hurt's back toe would drag forward around a foot or so. Renfroe stays behind his front knee well and is strong. It's basically a fast ball approach and it's a reason why he's had problems hitting off speed pitches. He is hitting the ball pretty well this year though.

Their hitting coach taught that method (which was and is against the grain) where they got out on their front foot. But with Renfroe, it is like he is not dug in good. If he could correct this, he would probably hit a lot of bombs considering he still hits the ball hard with his back foot not planted.

he needs to just keep doing what he's doing. The more at-bats he gets the better. Hopefully he's now the LF for the long haul. I guess if Brownlee ever gets 100% again, Renfroe will move to RF. Yes, he will strike out looking with the bases jammed sometimes, but he'll also knock in 4 RBIs 3 innings after that.

Graveman, Stark, Henderson, Girodo and Frost are the clown patrol. Stark got off of it today because of his performance on the mound. He never should have been there to begin with, but Cohen insisted on playing him in the OF.
