He knows that the offense got them there. In his mind I'm sure he's thinking um should have done this or that and capitalized on Miami trying to give um the game. I'm sure that he thinks, right or wrong, he'd have won it. That's without LSU resources. I'm sure he was pulling for his players but not mad UM lost.
He knows that he's about to make his run and I hope that he does just to make it hurt them worse after all the crap I've had to listen to on Kiffen and how he loves Oxford and .....

The money doesn’t mean much to him. Had they won, two narratives would have come out: 1. He’s an idiot for not realizing the team was a real contender. 2. He’s not that great of coach, just was in a great situation.

Yes and no. Kiffins teams weren't as great until they got Golding and started working on that defense. Golding definitely had a part in getting them to where they are. Can Golding keep them there without Kiffin offense. Doubtful.

It’d be glorious if he fails miserably at LSU and the pinnacle of his career was this past season
That is what I'm hoping for. The expectations are so high that anything other than a national championship would be a failure. He left a team that went to the semifinals of the playoff for what he thought was a better situation. If he doesn't win the natty, it's a failure. I hope he goes 7-5 the next two years and the Cajuns run him out of town.

The self-affirmation of his ego plus the abject failure of his former team to win without him is worth multiples of $250k.

Kiffin knew what was up more than anyone in the general public. If you read between the lines, you know why he tweeted "great win, only 2 more to go!"

The business of college football. It is what it is.
