Doesn’t he get a crazy bonus from LSU if they would’ve won? Talk about some serious emotional hedging.
Na man, he just missed out on extra money.

He knows that the offense got them there. In his mind I'm sure he's thinking um should have done this or that and capitalized on Miami trying to give um the game. I'm sure that he thinks, right or wrong, he'd have won it. That's without LSU resources. I'm sure he was pulling for his players but not mad UM lost.

Money ain't **** to that spoiled bastard, $250,000 to him is like $25 to us. Hell yeah he was pulling for the Canes.
The money doesn’t mean much to him. Had they won, two narratives would have come out: 1. He’s an idiot for not realizing the team was a real contender. 2. He’s not that great of coach, just was in a great situation.

Yes and no. Kiffins teams weren't as great until they got Golding and started working on that defense. Golding definitely had a part in getting them to where they are. Can Golding keep them there without Kiffin offense. Doubtful.

That is what I'm hoping for. The expectations are so high that anything other than a national championship would be a failure. He left a team that went to the semifinals of the playoff for what he thought was a better situation. If he doesn't win the natty, it's a failure. I hope he goes 7-5 the next two years and the Cajuns run him out of town.
It cost him quite a bit of money, but he WAS probably starting to get a feeling in his gut about maybe walking out on the National Champion.
I doubt he fails miserably. But I suspect he won’t live up to the expectations and this year will go down as his peak.
He is worth about 100 million dollars or more. He doesn’t give a sh*t. It was well worth it to him for the people that have been dragging his name in the mud for simply taking a better job to get beat.
