I heard he is staying here which I think is shocking and great if Oregon did indeed come after him.

I still feel that if they offer him he is gone. Hopefully you are right though

Maybe he wants to stick around and Finish some of these things he has started such as the IPF and stadium expansion

that it would make it a difficult choice for him to leave. I have no idea what that pay would be, but he is as important to the future success our athletic department as any coach we could hire, or any recruit we could get. Just my 2 cents.

actually did offer him. I would have a whole new level of respect for the man if that is indeed the case though.

I read somewhere that he makes around 300k a year as our AD. I think he has already doing twice the job and more that his predecessor ever did. We have two young, energetic guys in our AD that will be appealing to bigger programs in the very near future: Byrne and Mullen.<div>
</div><div>Time to reward Byrne right now with a 100k raise. If something is to change with our basketball coach within 2 years, I want Byrne calling the shots. If Mullen can do better than .500 next year, it will be time to reward him with a very substantial raise. We need to show these guys that we appreciate their hard work and competence and do what it takes to keep them on board for a few more years.</div>

I suspect at this point in his career, his resume doesn't look nearly as good as their other top candidates.<div>
</div><div>In other words, he is too unproven for a job like that unless they make it down to their D list.
