The rumors are true, unfortunately. Probably the worst player it could be in terms of hurting the team.

If it's only a game or two then not a huge deal though. We'll be aight.

Believe me .... you want Holton against Florida.

Not saying we can't beat them without him ... but I think beating them with him was not a given.
The guys are walking into a hornets next on Saturday.... a talented hornets nest.

Hopefully this is only a true rumor and not a rumor that is true.

If the rumors are indeed true it's actually gonna be 3 games as standard for players who get busted for weed. So if Holton is indeed suspended his next game will be AT Kansas. This will be brutal.

most important player, best player, and key to the press. we already know the press will change significantly without Holton next year. but, if this is true, it could be devastating in the short tem.

The way Devin has been playing, I am not sure we can beat anyone without Holton

There is no indication that this rumor has any substance. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge that this came from either the coaches or the player? If there was any truth to it, I believe Keenan and ESPN would have both been all over it.

ESPN does not care if a WVU basketball player is rumored to be suspended for something as petty as a weed violation

A player is rarely suspended for a first violation (failed drug test) when wacky weed is involved.

While it may seem petty....who risks being suspended (and for some people...losing their jobs) unless they actually do have problem ?

xWVU2010x Are you kidding me? If any top ten team loses a player to suspension they are on it. Especially when it could make a difference in the Big 12 vs SEC challenge. It doesn't matter how petty the violation, it's about the player not being on the court. And Keenan would have absolutely reported it. Right Keenan?

OH NO THE WORLD IS ENDING SOMEBODY SMOKED WEED!

Only a rumor. But if its true and he is suspended a couple games that just means others MUST STEP IT UP. Its that simple no complex algorithm needed.

Oh... ...no big deal. Maybe players should just start choosing which games they want play in.

The next guy simply needs to step up...right ? Simple. ....no algorithm needed.

I like that word, 'algorithim'. A process or set of rules to be followed in calculations or other problem-solving operations, especially by a computer.

Yes its that simple, they were given a scharlorship based on their ability to play basketball. If nobody has the skill set to "step up" then why are they on the team.

I agree to an extent, but the rumor has no substance according to a very reliable source.

LOL - Plenty of college kids smoke pot and believe it or not, college students don't have the best judgment.

WVU has a great Physics program. If you want to be a fan of students who make good decisions, you should invest your time in them - they might not break your heart.

A weed problem? I thought you were cool, man.

They are humans, not computers.

Darth...I don't give two ***** if a kid smokes pot.

Sorry if I didn't clarify. I do care if a kid risks his future just because of weed. Do you understand the difference??

Sounds disengenous, but hopefully he'll learn not to get caught.

I had to look up 'disingenuous' . Should I be embarrassed?

Regardless, it didn't 'sound' that way.

...and he should learn not to get get caught multiple times (because that's what it before a suspension).

I agree, he shouldn't get get caught so much.

Im just not the type to fake outrage over this kind of thing, whatever happened.

BTW, that word actually popped up in text dictionary as I typed - I'm blaming Samsung.

Don't apologize for being articulate.
