Anyone know anything about AT&T U-Verse for TV?

I priced it out and it was a good bit more than Time Warner, which really surprised me.
But the complaints have been mainly about the lines they run. Most of the people who have tried it had bad problems for a couple months. before bitching enough that AT&T had to come out and run fiber to the houses. Which they try not to do. It uses copper lines to get to your house, which has caused the issues. You get about 25MBps total, between phone, TV, and internet, so the more you do, the more lag there is. And people get lag on their TVs.
You can only get 1 HD signal in your house at a time, not a problem for me but maybe for others. The other main complaints are the HD quality isn't as good. I would probably try it, but it's a lot more expensive. And that doesn't make sense.

Can't get satellite at my house because of the forest of trees surrounding my property, otherwise I'd have never had Comcast to begin with.
and the reviews have been pretty bad for the most part. Several people went back to cable or dish.
Using copper to send HD signals is not a great idea. If they have laid fiber to the houses in your neighborhood, it's worth trying. If not, I'd wait.

I currently have got U-Verse internet and had the TV service for a day. It's not bad at all (I liked it better than Time Warner). Lots of channels. This HD picture was not as crisp as my DirecTV picture. So, I decided to keep DirecTV but I still have U-Verse internet. The internet service is great.
Older section of town. Read some other forums and chatter and it sounds like they have a ways to go.
Record up to 4 shows/games at once and play them back on any TV in the house. No complaints here. Well worth it. The internet is also better than cable, You don't have to share with your neighbors.
