Anyone know anything about Jordan Washington, the DT from Georgia?

Scout says he's narrowed it down to us and Ohio St, with us being high interestand OSU being medium interest. Not sure howmuch that really means though. He doesn't have great offers. Scout says he has an offer from OSU, but Rivals says he doesn't.I would assume he doesn't have that offer from OSU.MSU and USF are really his only offers worth mentioning that both sites say he has. Anyone know much more about him?

For those that care, he's not rated on Rivals, and he's a 3 star, number 60 DT in the country on Scout.

he said he offers from Ohio State, UK, Tennessee, USF, and us.
He showed up late and we declined to take Butler so we could keep a slot open for Washington, so our staff must think highly of him.

If he's good enough for OSU to want him, then I would certainly like to have him at MSU. But the more this goes along, the more I think we need to get the best DL we can rightnow because Ijust don't feel good aboutus gettingWard or Evans. I mean if we can manage to get them, I think they could really change our program in terms of recruiting for the future.

There are still some key recruits out there for us to get, and this class could turn around in a hurry if we could somehow manage to get Richie and Beniquez Brown, Ward, and Evans, along with a couple of OL. But that's all pipedreams right now.

to not getting Evans and/or Ward......If I was a betting man, I'd say Bama gets them both...........

shaping up to be a good day. And we still have 5 spots left for Quay, Ward, Richie Brown, D Autry, Beniquez Brown.

I think if we add some JUCO OL they'll need to be Dec graduates so they can count back to the 3 open spots. Maybe Denico Autry can count as one if we land him too.

I could be wrong, but personally, I don't feel that we will ever be a serious player for Ward. I do think we'll be in it 'til the very end for Evans because of the relationship with Coach Wilson and the fact that he's the DC and DL coach. To compete in this league, I say take as many talented big guys as you can find on both sides of the line. That appears to be what we did here.

and are also on a couple of OL both from TN (Jelks and Hill)? Obviously we aren't getting all of these guys as we are down to 5 spots if we have no decommits.

Plus I doubt we get all of the five: Ward, Evans, Autry, R. Brown, and B Brown. I'd be shocked if we get Ward and R. Brown. In effect I think we have 5 spots left for probably around 10+ guys assuming we won't get them all. And I'm sure we'll have a couple of non-qualifiers/de-commits.

He is one of those guys that ends up with a SWAC school when early on he has allegedly several BCS offers.

Not sure about the two from TN, but Gaines has seemed to be high on us from the start. So we probably stand the best chance with him. I wouldn't mind picking up a solid juco LT, but I have to believe if one was available, we would have been on him a long time ago.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if at least two of our guys end upbeing grade casualties and going the juco route. Not to say that all these young men won't qualify because I hope they all do, but it's almost a given these days that you'll have a couple of sign and place guys.

As for Evans, we are in as good as shape as State can possibly be with a big time recruit. He's leaning our way and likse our coaches a lot. <div>
</div><div>Unless Quay needs legalrepresentation, or bumps into Patrick Willis at the square, or needs a Range Rover or Z71, or mom needs a new job...we should be fine.</div>

only if we whiff on Jelks, Hill and a couple of JUCO guys. I don't see us getting Jelks (either UT or Vandy) but I hope I'm wrong. Brandon Hill is a lesser known recruit but is a bigtime player. His "star power" is low because he missed some playing time because he transferred schools.<div>
</div><div>Gaines seems like a really cool kid. I read in some interview that he was asked "what was the first thing you looked at when you were visiting MSU". He replied with "the cafeteria". </div>

if we can get Evans and get James qualified and then add AJ Jefferson and hopefully Autry to go with this commitment from Washington that would be a big time boost to our DL. Primary thing missing on our defense right now is a big time rush end and Autry is the key man to fill that role next year.

went to Oklahoma and Alabama respectively..........We've gotten others out of there though (Kelly, Jamerson Love, Ryan Ford, Derrick Dean) but as far as the elite talent goes, the answer is "no"....BTW,Reggie Kelly was not that highly recruited out of high school.........Matter o' fact, he played QB in high school...........

if he does, then we need to step up to the plate and pay to play.
