Anyone notice a larger stikezone in MLB this year?

I've watched about 10 Cardinals games, 4 Astros games, and tidbits of several others and have noticed TONS of complainingby hitters on called strikes. And I've tended to agree with the hitters primarily... It seems as though the strikezone is expanding.

Esco, McLouth, and Diaz/Melky. I would include Glaus, but he hits .260 in a good year. Still, those 4 guys are going to break out at some point. They're too good to all hit around the Mendoza line all season. Once they break out, the offense will be fine. Plus, we're just snake bit as hell right now. Last night was a perfect example.

one of the "one of our 4 best hitters" is a platoon...and it includes Melky Cabrera. dude is a career .268 hitter and career OPS of .708.

something I've wanted for decades. When batters realize the plate isn't the size of a saucer, they'll swing more. When batters swing more, the game, as a whole, benefits.
