I have a small place, only about 70 units. Current software is killing me, but don't want to pay what the larger companies charge , considering they are set up for huge operations. Would love to hear if anyone is using a particular one they liked. Thanks.

What are you wanting/expecting your software to do for you?

Some smaller operations can be more efficiently managed with a log book and a pen...or if you must, an Excel spreadsheet.

If it's just for billing purposes.. just use Quickbooks. Can't imagine the the inventory of these rooms (who occupies which one) is that difficult.

My brother used to own some storage units. He rented them out to people that needed to store crap. One of the dumbest moves he ever made was getting rid of them. I think most were 10 x 10.

Not to derail this fine thread, but I wonder how many dead hookers are in storage units around the country?

Barry Wise bought a unit that used to belong to Suge Knight and he found one of Suge’s hoses.

You ever see that show Storage Wars? Pretty cool, you should check it out.
Have a buddy who lives in Birmingham that manages some storage units. Said before that show they were lucky to have anyone show up for those auctions and that most units would end up selling for $20-$50... Says now they have bigger crowds and people end up paying hundreds for most although he says most of the units contain "worthless crap".

Nearly all of the "reality" shows are staged. Like Moonshiners... all of those guys have their own legal brands that can be bought off the shelf. I met Wayne last year who if you watch the show had "his car" blown up by Jeff, Mark and Lance for operating in their territory. All staged. Wayne said they pulled the car that is seen being blown up out of a local salvage yard.

I happen to know Wayne.

And he said everyone thinks you're a sissy narc ...and they made up some "fake staged" story to get you off their lawn.
