Being out here in Utah, you get inundated with news on BYU and Utah football predominately. So, after 2 weeks of hearing about the Cougars, it should be noted that they are starting to make some noise. I know it's next year and the meeting at FedEx Field in Landover will take place on 9/24, but I am keeping an eye out on their game performance at certain positions that could affect how we will play against them next year. One I am paying the most attention to is at QB... After their Senior QB was injured and out for the season in the matchup with Nebraska, their Freshman QB 6' 2" 210lbs (Taysom Hill) has come in and taken the reigns. Looking at their overall roster briefly, it's a fairly 50/50 mix of upper and lower classmen. Although the jury is still out because we are still early in the season, I would not call this game a W should most of their experience return since they beat Boise State and Nebraska. That true freshman will have a year of experience under his belt and we do lose a good bit of our defensive experience after this year. Frankly I hope we win and I most certainly would not dismiss playing against the LDS boys. Thoughts?
