I would love to see it though. Especially since Space Shuttles are about to be nonexistant supposedly after 2010.

That was about in 1986. I was mowing the lawn and I heard a jet flying over, so I looked up. It was relatively low and I could see the shuttle piggy backed on the top of the 747 or whatever it is. I must admit I was pretty stoked about it.

after 2010 for the new program called the Orion. Thats what I meant.</p>

as I'm driving to and from work in Huntsville's research park, past the US Space and Rocket Center Museum.

I've never seen a Shuttle take off nor land.
Last weekend, when I was visiting a friend in Titusville, I hoped to watch a landing, but the weather didn't cooperate.
It landed in California.

For an old dude who worked on Apollo, the moon project, that was disappointing.

To make this a sports post, our football team didn't win the conference that year of the moon landing, 1969.
I think that's the year the University of Houston beat us 74-zip. [40 yrs ago? crap! I should retire]
