as I'm driving to and from work in Huntsville's research park, past the US Space and Rocket Center Museum.
I've never seen a Shuttle take off nor land.
Last weekend, when I was visiting a friend in Titusville, I hoped to watch a landing, but the weather didn't cooperate.
It landed in California.
For an old dude who worked on Apollo, the moon project, that was disappointing.
To make this a sports post, our football team didn't win the conference that year of the moon landing, 1969.
I think that's the year the University of Houston beat us 74-zip. [40 yrs ago? crap! I should retire]
Some days are diamonds; some, coal.
