Aaaargh....it's going to be another long year in Rocky Mount isn't it? Did FC have any good athletes on the field?

Lean times? Pardon? I'm sure I have no idea what you're talking about. ;-)
Salem did have a few lean years, five in a row from '78 to '82, to be exact. Fortunately, I was away at school for the last three of those, which were probably the worst.
I hope Coach Edwards can somehow successfully "change the culture", as they say, at FC. He's a good guy, from all I've heard. It's going to take patience, hard work, and time.
