Here's Fox's top headline today:

Ft. Lauderdale airport shooting suspect charged; feds won't rule out terror

Here's CNN's top headline today:

Trump national security pick Monica Crowley plagiarized multiple sources in 2012 book

CNN is the new Daily Kos.

I'll take CNN's accuracy record over Fox's any time.

Has anyone accused CNN of having an atmosphere of sexual harassment prevalent in the organization?

Accuracy? You've got to be joking. And I'm not crying over CNN. You seem a little emotional however.

Politifact is owned by the Tampa Bay Times and operated by the TBT staff. TBT is very left leaning and endorsed Clinton.

Mintpressnews.com's source is Politifact.

Sourcewatch.org is owned and operated by The Center for Media and Democracy, which self-describes as "a nonprofit liberal watchdog and advocacy organization based in Madison, Wisconsin. CMD publishes PR Watch, SourceWatch, BanksterUSA, and ALECexposed.org."

Yeah, we get it. Anyone that is not conservative is a left leaning liberal and is biased.

You really should watch the documentary "Outfoxed". The interview a bunch of former employees.

"Some people say"

"It's been reported"

"Some are telling us"

That is how they lead into opinion and diverge from fact, all the while getting their viewers to think it is factual.

All the cable news channels have hard news segments and news analysis programming. Outfoxed conflated the two. Who doesn't know Hannity is not hard news? It's a talk show. MSNBC has the least hard news programming and is the most blanatly biased and, based on the Outfoxed paradigm, the most deceptive. Where's the docudrama on MSNBC?

CNN is more into racial discrimination suits.

December 7, 2016 @ 12:31 PM
Former and current black employees of CNN on Wednesday filed a class-action lawsuit charging the network with racial discrimination, according to the law offices of Daniel R. Meachum & Associates.

“As a result of the current discrimination lawsuit filed on behalf of DeWayne Walker vs. CNN, Time Warner & Turner, we have uncovered stories involving abuse of power, nepotism, revenge, retaliation and discrimination,” Daniel Meachum said in a statement.

December 11, 2015 9:39am
The Time Warner-owned cable news network passes over black employees and denies them on-the-job training, producer Ricky Blalock claims in a $500,000 racial-discrimination lawsuit filed this week that marks the second such legal action against CNN in just more than a year.
CNN “intentionally and willfully violated Mr. Blalock’s right to be free from race-based discrimination in his employment,” says the complaint filed Thursday in federal court. A full-time employee for the past three years, former freelancer Blalock, a producer for anchors Fredricka Whitfield and Ashleigh Banfield’s morning legal show, alleges that white CNN staffers were offered paid training while he and other African-Americans were not.

10/07/2014 10:23 am ET
A Los Angeles-based producer is suing CNN for wrongful termination, accusing the cable news network of race and age discrimination.
Stanley Wilson, described as a “51-year-old African- and Latino-American,” worked for CNN for more than 17 years, including almost 14 years as a field producer out of the LA bureau, according to court documents obtained by Deadline.com. He covered events like 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, the 2012 elections and the “Black In America” documentary series. He was the first African-American man to earn a producer position in Los Angeles when he was promoted in 2003.
But that was the only promotion Wilson got at CNN, the documents state.
Although he applied for “a dozen” jobs throughout the next 10 years, he did not get any, according to the court documents. However, younger, less experienced, white employees were allegedly promoted to positions he sought.

An unwillingness to look at all the evidence, all the facts, is what makes a person liberal--fiscally, socially, philosophically, theologically.

With those ugly broads on CNN, they're the ones who have to harass the men to get any action.

It was a reponse to an earlier thread that attempted to paint CNN as some bastion of truth and goodness.

It is...but that's not exactly the point.

Some say CNN is more accurate. Some say Fox. Both have opinion journalists. Fox is generally right of center. CNN is left of center. Fox hard news coverage is every bit as accurate as CNN. I can give examples on both sides. Fox has Chris Wallace (a registered Dem), Shep Smith (a liberal) and Brett Baier for their hard news. They are very accurate and fair.

The poster is confusing analysts (e.g. Hannity, O'Reilly, etc.) for hard news. Two very different positions.

OK, but is there anything covered by Politifact that has turned out to not actually be factual?

One thing Trump has tried to do, and is doing it very successfully, is to control the media. One of the first things in doing that is to discredit the media so that people will think the only truth comes from him ... or when he gets called out on lies, he can just say that it's the dishonest media.

You see that play out on here every single day. People discredit the source before ever reading any of the content and seeing if it's true or not.

He is discrediting the media in the minds of his followers, roughly half of the voters. I don't think there is any way they (Trump supporters) will ever believe the media at this point, regardless of how accurate the media is.

Just one observation, Trump supporters accused the media of being biased against him during this past fall/the campaign. Trump provided material every day for the media to report by all of the bizzare things he said and did. When a candidate is not in the "ordinary mold" (being polite) that candidate is going to receive a lot of coverage. And then couple that with the bizzare things he has said, due to 1) being an "outsider" and 2) not understanding a lot about how things work, specifically the fundamental relationship of the three branches of government, it's going to appear that the media is trying to "smear" him.

The MSM was balls on accurate with a lot of their criticism. I think the biggest issue those on the right have is that they are very selective in their critiques and criticisms.

Trump should have been shouted down and they tried. Likewise, Clinton should have been shouted down and they didn't try. Obama has been given an absolute pass. The MSM has biased themselves into this position.

That's a convenient definition that could easily apply to hard core liberals or conservatives. Most folks live between those 2 extremes.

OK, "you can keep your doctor" ... in 2013 they said it was a "pants on fire" lie, after saying it was true in 2008. In 2008 it was true, as far as the plan Obama was proposing was concerned, but then when it became law it was no longer true. Are they to predict whether something will be true in 5 years, or judge what's true at the time?

"Politifact overrides Pew Poll" ... no they didn't, they cited the poll the got the numbers from, and also cited another poll that experts deemed more reliable based on the polling process

"Depends on who says it" ... Bernie and Trump were saying different things. Bernie was making the comparison between black and Hispanics and whites, and they specifically stated that while his statistic is wrong, the general premise was true. Trump just said that black unemployment was 59%, which wasn't used in any comparison, and it wasn't right as far as the statistics say.

I understand, but that's not the point. THE was trying to discredit Politifact because they reported that as true in 2008 and false in 2013. As of 2008, it was deemed to be true according to the plan.
