Anyone think we will sweep this weekend?

I know how good Purdue was last year since they hosted and I know what Samford did to us last year, but I really don't know how they compare this year.

I see Purdue has lost twice, including a 20-2 loss to South Florida, who also lost by 10 to Indiana. Samford lost 1 of 4 to Youngstown State. I'm assuming from those scores that Purdue isn't quite as good as last year and I've heard that Samford is good and will bring their offensive power like they normally do.

Anyone have any better insight on the quality of either of those two? I always think that regardless of who you play that winning 4 games in a weekend is damn good. The odds are against things going your way in all 4 games and to me winning 4 games two weekends in a row would be a good accomplishment for this team.

Nope I think we lose at least one. Samford being the loss. Samford, even after losing most of their key players, is still putting up some pretty gaudy offensive numbers. They will definitely test our pitching staff.

Purdue lost 7 position players and their top 4 pitchers from last season.

2013 Samford > 2013 Purdue. I expect us to drop a game this weekend.

Samford has a chance to sneak by us in a close one, but I don't see them putting up big offensive numbers.

Yes. I'm in the minority, but yes I believe we sweep. I wouldn't be surprised or devastated if we dropped 1 or even 2, tho.

I think we sweep Purdue. They aren't nearly the team they were last year. Plus if we use the same rotation as last weekend, they get to face Lindgren and Graveman.

Samford worries me a bit, but I think we are fired up to play them. I can see us beating them twice, although it will be quite challenging.
