Anyone unable to muster any excitement about playing at LSU?

I am emotionally numb about our next game. This is the one game that I just call a loss before the season starts.

I have hope but its slim. We just simply never win there. I just hope and pray that we come out healthy and don't get our spirits crushed if we lose down there. We must come out clicking on all cylinders against UGA.

been bombarded with texts today (altho my facebook status kinda provoked that)

I can see that for most though because of all the unknowns this season for our team not to mention the recent history of this series...I dont like our chances, but i do have faith in our staff and have that glimmer of hope they can break the curse...

Dealing with me on here is nothing compared to what these people in this town would experience if we win Saturday

Last week is over, and now we get a chance to show that we're a good team and can beat good teams in the SEC. We get a chance to get that last game out of our system- and kick LSU's ***.

If we do, awesome, if we don't, I'm sure I'll be disappointed, but we're getting beat by the 12th best team in the country on the road, and there's no shame in that as long as we play hard and put up a good fight.

But I want to beat their ***. If that means that they throw beer, bourbon, urine, feces, and lice at me, so be it. I'll enjoy every moment of the victory. I work at a hospital anyway, I'm used to dealing with body fluids. Either way, I'm going with four friends, and I'm going to have a good time win or lose.

I can't wait. I think we have a chance. Might actually get "tiger-baited" this year, last time that happened was 2000.

is the guy that will be the difference maker. I just think Relf will throw one up to this guy and...touchdown Tigers. Ball game

But the closer we get and the more I think about it, the more excited about the game I am - excited is probably not the right word, though. I AM eager to see our defense again. I am also antsy to see if our offense was really bad or if Auburn's defense was really good. I think that it was a little bit of both but we have to run the ball more. Also, Ralph has take off if the pocket collapses or if no one is open - this was a major problem against AU. If you can get 7-8yds. then take off. He ran a Wing-T in HS and I liked what I saw whenever we ran it against AU. More of that, more read option, more power/WR/speed option. More touches for our RBs. I cannot say that I'm not excited but, I'm nervous. We need a win in Death Valley on a Saturday night.

any team LSU plays has a chance. He also said today that he's sticking with JJ unless the wheels completely come off. Judging from his staring down the initial receiver, only looking at one half of the field on every pass play, him tucking and running after 2 seconds in the pocket, and his weak arm we have a chance. We should be able to stop their running game and our DB's are much improved and will not allow many, if any, big plays.

the first quarter will tell all. If we can run the ball we lose. There is no way we throw all over their secondary. However i think Diaz will attack the run and force lsu to throw the ball. If we stop the run we have a chance on getting some turnovers and making it a game.

Last time I got "excited" for a game down there.......2000.....what happened? We got beat.

Before that.......1998......what happened? We got destroyed.

I think we should avoid Tiger Stadium and drive over to Southern U for a game instead. Pick up our first W in Red Stick in years......maybe.

The best part of the trip for me to tiger stadium is no expectations. The dogs lose, so what we weren't supposed to win. I'm there for the sights and the good times. I know this makes me a bad fan, but it's this attitude that puts my butt in a seat every home game at Davis-Wade and three or four road trips a year.

Like I've heard.... Abandon all ye hope who cheer for the maroon and white!
