If Lenny can't coach up the type high school players we've been signing, then he needs go be employed somewhere not named Mississippi State.
ST17U.. the HS WRs we been signing haven’t contributed here or anywhere else other than Craver and he was an easy replace.

You bring up a good point. Being a college athletic administrator doesn’t take a lot of intellect or creativity. For most people the expectation is to not do something stupid, which in most businesses is a very low bar. But in college athletics, it is the norm.
List the items in which this new AD has failed so far. Always good to hear from a Kentucky fan
Well hiring Lebby is proving to be a stupid hire. I dnk you can ignore that.

Selmon should have hired Odom, an experienced HC with A staff.

We need a WR coach by the time the portal opens. However, I don't understand why we are waiting on firing the defensive staff. Is it the bowl thing? I would rather have GA's/analysts coaching the DL and DBs than the current guys. The new coaches need to be in place for portal as well. They need to be already working on this seasons portal class. Instead, *if we fire them*, the new guys will be coming in *after* the portal is open.

Odom is awful. He won’t do better than Lebby in year 2 and was below average at mizzou

Odom has a career record of 46-43, which includes a sterling 2-10 record at Purdue this season. He was 25-25 at Missouri and 13-19 in SEC games. I don't know why several people on this board think we should've hired him. He's not that good.
First of all, his name is mentioned because it came down to he and Lebby. so those were the options. Unless you count Judge (who would have been better too) that we told no thanks.
I would take Odoms HC record over Lenny's today. Which y'all conveniently left off his most recent record of 19-8 at UNLV. Not to mention Odom would have brought his own DC and WR etc etc.
As for what he did at Purdue.... he matched Lebbys first year at State.... Purdue which has less resources.
Regardless of all that, you have a man with far more experience than Lebby and the genius ad makes a cute hire. A DC minded coach fits Mississippi State..... not some finesse bS HC.

I don’t know about you but 13-19 in SEC games is looking pretty dang good to me right now (1-15).
