Also, those are points, not overall number of votes, so it's possible that just a couple of people ranked us fairly high for some reason while the votes in the other poll were all barely in. Also, the AP awards a little over twice as many points roughly, so you would expect some kind of variance. For instance, #1 Texas has over 1,600 points in the AP and under 800 in the ESPN.
