We can't pitch, can't hit, and can't field tonight. That tells me the mind and the heart wasn't in it from the get go. And that falls on the coach's shoulders. I can handle losing. I can accept a quality opponent making more plays than us and making better pitches than us as long as we compete.I can't however, accept total domination in all facets of the game. I can't accept grooving pitches to the top hitter in the league which ultimately set the tone for the rest of their lineup let alone walking batter after batter.

we aren't wasting any runs in a game we have NO chance to win. At least this time I can move on to something else, in this case the NBA playoffs. During the 18-0 Florida blowout earlier this year I was actually stuck at the game and had to endure it.

Losing 17-1 or 17-8 would have no impact on tomorrow's scores. That's just being silly.

if you just want serious analysis there were absolutely no bright sides to tonight's game.
