I agree, but Matt, even though he's probably in his early-to-mid 30s (I'm CERTAIN one of his cronies will answer this), acts like and caters his entire website to 17-22-year-old college kids. So it's no surprise, and I'm guessing that the ages of people here that respond in defense of this silly behavior are probably under 25 themselves.Originally posted by MakinMusic:
It is a bit juvenile. Those guys do need to be called out when excessive with their negativity and criticism. I'm just not sure of the best way to do it.

You must be one of those passive types that wonder why we keep score because there should be no losers . Usually when my opinion differs from about 90% of others , I look in the mirror and say ," I must need to rethink this ".Originally posted by Bill Derington:
I didn't say Forde doesnt need to be called out. I just don't think getting on the PA at rupp is the best place to do it.
It smacks of Jones wanting attention. If he wants to call him out use his own radio show to do it, not Rupp Arena, that's what I meant.

Only problem I have with him is on this morning show, and the way he handles callers. He interrupts them 90% of the time. Because he is so quick on the trigger, he often goes off on some rant thinking he knows where they are going with something only to be wrong. I would be worse, as I am extremely impatient, but I am not paid to be so.Originally posted by TrolliNC:

Not the least bit yoshukai, but Theres no reason for a grown man that represents our fanbase to act like a child either.
I don't think it was professional, theres nothing wrong with having some dignity instead of stooping to fordes level....
This. Both reveling in the Internet traffic it's sure to create. It's basically the Howard Stern "pig vomit" tactic.Originally posted by Seth C:

What you are saying is Forde is such a low life POS that he is going to punish UK over words some media person says? Is that the way it works?Originally posted by Bill Derington:
That was juvenile and dumb if you ask me.
Whether we like Forde or not, he's has a national platform, how do you think he's gonna view the cats now? Think he'll be as apt to bite his tongue after that?
Let him hate because once you fall to the hatred he has expressed over the years you can't hate anymore. He was not at Rupp to say nice things about Kentucky.
My question is, how did he get in the door? I hope he bought his ticket.

Jeebs, it's Rupp Arena, not the Holy of Holies where the Ark of the Covenant rests.Originally posted by Bill Derington:

Yeah, but one is employed with the understanding that he'll at least try to adhere to journalistic standards of objectivity, and fails to do so time and again. The other tells you from day 1 that he's a flaming homer, and gives you exactly what he advertised.Originally posted by Uniblocker:
Forde is a joke, and Jones is a joke. The only difference is that Jones, unfortunately, is one of ours. They act like the same person, just with different school affiliations.
I didn't know that so I went searching for the article that Forde wrote and found it. It says:Originally posted by DDS62:
But for the record and something that everybody has completely forgotton is that after our 5 game run in the NCAAT last year Forde wrote a follow up article apologizing for his words and admitting Cal had, because of those 5 wins, a pretty good season.
Don't accuse me of being a UofL fan, I'm just telling it like it is.
