But if I had a torn ACL, I'd play in this game. I would do whatever it took to be on the field. I just had to deal with a lot of pain."

Texas would have been all over that, sad as it sounds.

in today's world of crack investigative journalism? (eyes rolling)

I guess ESPN, ABC and all those guys were too busy kissing Saban's ***, which I guess IS crack investigative journalism when you think about it.

I take back everything I said about him last night. McCoy is now an even bigger ***** in my opinion.

The guy's throwing arm was a noodle, he couldn't feel his thumb, he had no zip on the ball, yet people wanted him to come back in. Because he didn't he is called a wuss. I don't get it. A QB playing with an arm injury isn't tough, it's stupid.

You can play hurt and you can't play injured. Colt was injured. Probably not even hurting, based on his reaction. More like his arm just went to sleep and wouldn't wake up. Not much he could do after that, especially at the quarterback position.

The Al Bundy faction of this board has not gotten over their HS careers and easily could have played last night. Not only could they have played, they would have put the game out of reach by halftime and been able to rest the second half. They then would have polished off 6-8 cases of beer and had relations with each of the Texas female cheerleaders, and then the Alabama ones.

McCoy couldn't play. They did a stupid thing by saying they didn't want to risk his career when in fact the truth was he was physically unable to play.

That article someone posted from Dan Wetzel sums it up. The guy couldn't hit his Dad, standing still, from 7 yards away in the locker room.

I admit that at halftime when they said they coudn't find anything wrong with the shoulder, I was thinking...WTF? I still thought to myself, there is no way this kid sits if he can throw the football at all. He could not throw the football at all. Bottom line.

a healthy freshman backup, who by the way was the top QB recruit in the nation last year, OR a top-notch senior starter who has NO FEELING IN HIS ARM. I'm sure he would have gone back in if he or the coaches thought he could have been effective. I think he definitely would have gone in had in been his non-throwing arm that got injured.

We've seen harder hits, the guy didn't stumble off the field and collapse on the sidelines, and he didn't have any pain. People look at that and think, why isn't he in there. Well, the fact is he had a freak injury that prevented him from being able to throw the football. It may not be as macho as Tebow getting knocked into next week by Kentucky, but the fact is the guy couldn't have played QB against Jackson State, much less Alabama.

Why do people think they brought his dad down? Obviously it was to convince him that he couldn't go back in. There's nobody like dad to say, "look son, you can't play anymore tonight."

when there's a perfectly good three syllable word out there that makes most people think of the thing that came with Duck Hunt.
