Apparently, OSU is playing the SEC

It's weird how fans from non-SEC conferences try to play every game like this off as a fair "Big 12 vs. SEC" matchup. OSU is the preseason favorite in their league, and we're a below average SEC team. If they don't beat us somewhat handily, it's going to (and should) look bad for the Big 12.

I realize that this specific article quotes their players who were asked questions about playing an SEC team. I'm just talking about non-SEC fans and the non-SEC media in general who try to play these games up as fair comparison between the two conferences.

Well, to be fair,

For some reason this flashes me back to 1996 pre-game hype before we played Cincinnati in the Southeast regional. They were just gonna physically whip our asses. I remember someone asking Damp how in the world we were going to handle big bad Cincy who spent so much time training in the weight room. Damp replied "you know,we lift weights too" . We all know how that turned out.
It was all about how physical their guards were. Bullard and Super D whipped that ***. Probably Bullards best game ever. He dominated initimidated that guy all game long. That is my favorite game to go back and watch. A close second is the Donte Jones show to win the SEC tourney.

****...it sounds like they are getting ready to play alabama, georgia, florida, or lsu. i dont think i would be that jacked up about playing the 8th best team in the big 12..err, whatever they are now. i would hardly consider that a statement game about conference superiority.
