If some of you hate Apple so much, it amazes me you will waste your time reading and talking about it.

There are goods and bads about every phone. I won't be getting this phone b/c I'm in contract until January, so I'll probably just wait and get next year's version. I like some of the new features, wish it had other features that were rumored but didn't make it.

I can understand people not liking the headphone jack going away. Same people were made when it switched to the lightning cable. You can still get an adapter and use your headphones. I know you can't listen and charge at the same time, but how many people do that? I can't think of a time I have ever been charging my phone and had to listen to headphones at the same time. I'm sure it happens, I just don't think it is very common.

Bluetooth headphones suck dick, the signal lag is terrible.

Apple made a new chip to improve all of that.

You know nothing of this.

I actually expected more than that, especially from you.

Like y'all said, the camera is kind of it, imo. They connect you to the internet. Welp.

Don't even do vr porn. They *just* got a damn Mario game and it looks not nearly as good as the generic Mario I played on my Ti-83 back in 2002. Give me a fn break. These phones are bologna. Straight up. Just stringing the consumers along and milking em for all their worth.

Think it's pretty clear that Apple's future thing is an entire lifestyle including autonomous cars and houses. Don't think Samsung is going to be able to compete with that.
You think the company that already makes autonomous refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, washers, dryers, home security systems, and televisions will not be able to compete with the one that still needs to develop all of those things?

Lmao he won't even say Samsung because he knows how dumb that sounds.

You know who else is in home automation? Time Warner.

I think they'll have to wait for Apple's lead in order to try and copy how to do it well.

Just like they did with the phone.

I can't believe they changed a feature on an electronic device.

I mean, when has any company ever done something like that?

Did you read a little further down where I said they'd be fine in the home for appliances and electronics?

You can listen and charge while using wireless headphones. On the new phones.

As you could the old...

Again, totally not catching what people say because you're in a podcast bubble.

I've been asking this for a long time. Put a damn loop somewhere so you can put a lanyard on it. It's a damn camera. It's not hand friendly. Use some gd common sense, apple. That would be one of the greatest things apple has done.

The no audio jack thing is stupid. We're not clearing the way for better technology. The cleanest sound has and will always come from a wired connection. It's also not necessary for waterproofing as other phone companies have waterproofed (not resistant but proof) their phones with a headphone jack. These other companies have also added wireless charging already which in my mind would be a must if your dropping the headphone jack. That's going to be a hassle for folks who listen to tunes at their desk. I get the Apple ecosystem and that if you're in it you can't go anywhere, but just don't act like these phones are the latest greatest thing. They aren't. There is nothing on an iPhone that someone else hasn't already done and a lot of phones have everything on an iPhone except iOS and have some mind blowing features Apple hasn't even started on yet.

Tell that to Beats buyers.

This just allows apple to sell "new and improved!!!" Beats for like $500.

Here are the main changes vs. the iphone 6 models:

10% more battery life
Better Camera
40% faster processor
Water Resistance
Brighter display
Air Pods (Most see this as a negative. They cost an extra $159 and must be charged.)

The only changes that I care about are the processor speed and the slightly longer battery life. I see no reason to upgrade from an iphone 6 or 6s for these small improvements.

You can't listen and charge while listening to wired headphones. Wireless headphones are clearly the future, you'll get there someday with the rest of us. Be patient.

The worst thing Apple could do is make compromises that most people think they want. Luckily they're smarter than you.

I can use the most advanced, futuristic wireless headphones with my current iPhone or with my current HTC One M8.

...or I can use my Sennheiser wired OTE headphones. Anything wrong with giving your customers options? Oh yeah...the option doesn't drive customers to buy add-ons. The add-ons are a huge profit center for Apple. Always have been. This isn't about making the phone thinner or moving forward or any of that bunk. Simply about driving people to buy high-margin accessories.

God I briefly worked at a Best Buy in Louisville. I had people that would buy the most expensive Beats we had because they liked the lettering on them. I'd be like "here try these headphones that are 1/3 of the price they are great" and no dice.

There is absolutely no reason you should consider an iPhone. They aren't the best phones. They are more expensive than everything by a lot. You will have to buy a bunch of other new crap for your phone. Stay with Android that works with everything. Choose between several manufacturers and hardware options. Honestly it makes no sense to move into the Apple ecosystem.

I love the Apple doesn't innovate anymore idiots. They are spending $10 Billion this year in R&D. That's about 5X their nearest competitor. They've got something coming and it will change our lives again.

Btw, what life changing innovation has any other company come out with since the 'Apple doesn't innovate' started making the circles?

I'm guessing @dgtatu01 has a short position on Apple. Dude really seems to hate them.
I totally understand if you have a bunch of money invested in songs and movies on your iTunes. If you have all your stuff saved through the iCloud and you own a Mac computer. That said I had an iPhone and an iPhone 3G and after that I switched to a Galaxy, then a Galaxy S2. I was the first person I knew with a Note. I currently have a Nexus 6 like the person whose question I answered. For 7 years I have listened to Apple fans talk down features their phones don't have that my phone's do and then get super hyped when Apple finally decided to add that feature. I spent 2 years hearing people tell me how great a tiny little phone was compared to my Note 2 from people who went strait to the iPhone 6 Plus as soon as it was released.
