the AD there was another Appo Native....Dr. Jeff Garrett. I like him and he is a friend of mine, but I dont know if it was his best interest to hire Wallace. I dont know if he had final say so, but I know he had a lot of power to prevent it. Wilkerson should have been the man! Point Blank Period. The community and team moral would have been behind Wilkerson. Jeff is now the Principal of EC Glass.

Hey bro, How has it been? U still down in SC? Yeah man, im thinking about coming to that Heritage game because i get a three day weekend with labor day. Thinking about hitting appomattox up that weekend.
Just like Bob said. these kids are not thinking about a streak. Yes it is an accomplishment, but every year is a new dynamic team. No team is the same year after year. I knew Heritage was going to be loaded this year and I have said in the past year. Our O is going to score regardless and our key to winning is keeping other team from scoring on D. I know yall are going to score on Appomattox, we just got to outscore you. The fact that Buckingham put 14 on our #1 D raises an eyebrow. I said before the season, it is going to be a strong 2A team to beat Appo, but I can see a 3a and up team beating us this year.
Nah, I went back and found the thread where BC just knew it was going to be good. He also called Gill's son a dumb *** then later saying he loves him. Truth is, BC just makes it up as he goes generally. He says things, and doesn't keep up with them so then he contradicts them. I understand that opinions can change, but people have to own up to them changing.
He said he and Gills son talked one on one after that post was written. Things changed between them after that.
All I'm saying is that he speaks on things he doesn't know and seems to change his opinions regularly without owning up to it. Can't always be right when you have two opposite views at two different times.
I own up to exactly what Ive said all along. I got with Coach Gill's son and cleared up anything I was wrong on and we talk daily. Advocate just told you how I felt about Wallace from day one and you still say I loved the guy. Yes I said I thought he could make our offense better because of the film I saw on how he used athletes at Petersburg in the spread. Our prior O coordinator only used 2 weapons and from what I saw on his spread at Petersburg multiple people touching the ball. I felt we had better athletes than Petersburg and it could be dangerous,but he brought a pistol offense to us that doesn't fit our athletes at all. Again that's giving someone that you dont know benefit of doubt and being optimistic. Now if it's something wrong with that than I'm sorry 2xstatechampappo to ruffle your feathers. On another note if what I say affects you that bad then dont read it.
Your previous Offensive Coordinator put on a string of teams that went to the playoffs for 7 years, sent numerous athletes to the VHSCA All Star Game (including your nephew if I'm not mistaken), averaged more than 40 points a game a number of years, and built an offense that commonly put up 300 yards a game if not more. I can remember times when your nephew would have 150 yards passing and 100 rushing. But the man didn't know how to use the athletes? Alright, whatever helps you sleep at night my man.
What did he do in the big games? Like I said against weak teams we did all of that run, pass put 70 on the board and what not but against good teams 2man ball got sent home when we probably had the better team. Look at Richlands 2 years ago. We led at halftime with Ragland and Gough carrying the load. 2nd half he put Ragland at wide out and ran the same play that Ragland caught a deep pasd against you guys at the end of the game. We were down by 7 with 9mins left and had the ball in Richlands territory and he forced 3 passes to Ragland in triple coverage. He took his best player out of the game by trying. For the record I wasn't the only person who wanted him gone. I'm just the type of person that's not afraid to speak it. Again you been smelling my a$$ since Friday night what's your motive? Yall won yall 2x champs we wont mean a thing to you again until next August so why are you so worried about us and what I've said? Like beating a dead horse man move on to Rustburg. Lol!
