4 years ago on this date Graham defeated Radford 57-13 to advance to the state championship game. The defense made Prioleau a total non factor in the game & shutdown Radford’s offense. Hopefully , our D coaches can figure out how to limit Appo’s offense. Defense is playing very well and are well coached. I’ll just be happy if the GMen narrowly squeak by Appo though. I’d like to see the boys get another chance at the title after being handicapped last year with injuries. Safe travels to Appo folks & hopefully a great game between two very good programs.
I heard they practiced kicking to opposite side of field all week & during game kicks went to Bradshaw unintentionally. I don’t know if that’s true or not.

Every time Appo has a close game or loses its always they have players playing hurt or did not play good that night.Every team thats plays football could also always make those excuses.

Ahhh man, you guys getting too comfy now days. When i was going to Bluefield Baptist we got used to the cold and running around in shorts and a t shirt. Weather people here are saying the rain will move out before game time and give us decent weather.
Will never forget state semi in 2003 there where it sleeted entire game. About every few minutes shaking ice off blanket I had draped over our heads. Great game featuring Vic Hall and Ahmed Bradshaw.
And Pennix hasn't been 100% either. Healthy Pennix is a major problem for anybody

Pennix is special, but expect major Div 1 offers over the next few months for the Graham junior running back who has rushed for over 2500 yds on the season and has world class speed. Am I saying he's a Pennix? Nope, but he's closed the gap from a season ago, and by this time next year, he may be on the same recruiting level of Pennix. If the Graham running back gets 1 step, he's gone. He has absolutely blazing speed, and quickness to go with the speed.

Appo is just making so many mistakes lucky to be down only 9, 3 fumbles , ball hitting the head on a punt and letting ball roll to 1 on kickoff that resulted in a safety , Wow that’s a lot !
Graham making some mistakes too & not capitalizing on Appo’s. It’s a dogfight for sure. Great game thus far.
