Appomattox and LCA square off in a benefit game tonight in Appomattox.
LCA is coming off back to back championship seasons while the Raiders are hoping to bounce back from a down season by their standards.
I think the Raiders will be better than last year but not sure they can hang with the talent laden Bulldogs.

It was about what we thought. Raiders gave some easier points at the end of the first half. Raiders tried a pass from the endzone and it was completed (I think) but a holding call in the end zone gave LCA two point and then mis hit on the kickoff provided a really short field. LCA scores and the Raiders fumble the kickoff.,... another LCA score.
In all I was pleased for how we did against them for the most part. I think we are definitely better than last year if we can stay healthy.

LCA was pretty impressive up front with size and at the skills position. The QB from Radford is pretty spot on with his throws. They can run or throw so the Seminole needs to be ready for both.

My hope and prayers are that the Appomattox Coach is doing ok health wise.
Coach Smith stepped down from the head job two years ago but still has his hand in the team with weight room and some other aspects. He actually coached track as well year.
He is doing VERY WELL health wise that I know of. In saying that though, he does appreciate any and all prayers. Thanks for thinking of him, you won't meet a better person.

Maybe Bleeding Navy and I can sneak out there this season and meet him and you.
Thanks for the update.

Yes sir looking forward to the Raiders coming back to Stinger Stadium. And really good to hear Coach Smith is doing well that's so awesome he's still involved with the athletic program.

I thought Appo played well defensively. They were scrappy and the DL/LB group caused a little havoc at different points throughout the night against the LCA front. LCA is going to capitalize on mistakes like they did to close the first half, but if Appo plays like they did on Friday, I think we're going to see a very strong showing from the Raiders this year.
