Do players that leave for the NBA/NFL affect the APR? None of these players are graduating so I would assume that they do. If so, how can the Kentucky model continue to be successful longterm?

As long as the kids attend class and keep their grades while they are enrolled in school it does not effect them. I heard Emmert discuss this the other on TV. UK will never be penalized as long as they go to class.

You could lose 3 of those and still have plenty of players to win a national championship if they're the right players.

http://www.ncaa.org/wps/w...+I/How+is+APR+calculated

The Division I Committee on Academic Performance continues to examine data produced by the =_blank]Academic Progress Rate
and has adjusted the calculation over the years in response. Changes
have included exceptions for student-athletes in good academic standing
who leave school early to pursue a professional career, student-athletes
who transfer to another school while meeting minimum academic
requirements and student-athletes who return to graduate at a later
date.

According to Mark Emmert in an interview with Jim Nance, as longasa player completes his course workand leaves the University in goodstanding, a school is not penalized for a one-and-done. Which would leave one to believe that if the UK 6 all packed their stuff and left Lexington this week, there would be a problem.

Fact is, people go to college to prepare them for the workplace. Some professions require more preparation than others.

Any word on the academic standing of Moultrie, Sidney and Smith?
Moultrie's probably OK.
Sidney's in Florida.
Smith is ... withdrawn from school?

0 for3 could be a problem.
