Check out Tennessee's score ... 924. ..................................................................................................

Clay Travis just tweeted this: Past three years of Vol football APR: 921, 934, 909. Unless Vols get a 956 in 12-13, team won't be eligible for 2014 bowl game. Wow.

Said they have never scored a 956 before

4 year rolling average of academic progress rate. Measurement of how well the program is graduating its athletes. If a 4 year average falls below 930, the program is ineligible for post-season. There are other penalties beyond that, but that's the one that gets the most press. We have some work to do in basketball. Hopefully it gets better from here. Were hurt by the stansbury shitstorm.

UT is below 930 in football and aTm, LSU are below it in basketball. Does that mean they are all ineligible for post-season this year or do they get a year to pull it up?

All 3 are on the NCAA's most favored programs list, so they will get as long as it takes.

Surprised Bama is that high with them losing 4 or 5 JRs to the NFL every year, and Saban processing a couple kids every year.

I think you can apply for an exemption if a player goes pro. Not sure if that's factored into these numbers, though.

You are correct. Per the APR Wikipage:

The NCAA does adjust APR, on a student-by-student basis, in two circumstances. One exception that can be made, is for student-athletes who leave prior to graduation, while in good academic standing, to pursue a professional career. Another is for student-athletes who transfer to another school while meeting minimum academic requirements and student-athletes who return to graduate at a later date.
