So the guy sits out 7 or 8 games and has his redshirt burned by Croom after the season was already basically a lost cause, so that he can get 1 or 2 touches per game for the last 4 games, and he's obviously not enough of a game changer that you HAD to have him on the field last year.

Of all the moves made by Croom during his tenure, Clark's redshirt burning is still one of the most baffling to me.

So the redshirt was the only option.

Edited to add: In hindsight, the move by Croom turned out to be the right one by complete luck and accident.
