I just remembered there was an essay type post that CrashFreeze made years ago, where he made an analogy that being a Gamecock fan was like having a fat girlfriend riding piggyback or something along those lines. Can't find it by searching though -- I guess that thread has long disappeared into the ether.

My favorite back when our baseball team was really good before ESPN + was a thing, we beat Clemtech in Pickens and they unplugged/shut off the Internet with our pitcher in mid stride delivering the final strike…… pretty sure it was a strike based on other news casts & the box scores. That’s the night I earned my bann from T-net, But now that we have this new ON3 deal I am guessing everyone gets one mulligan……use it well Gamecocks!
