When he's warming up had the throwing to other batters?
every one of his warmup pitches was high, out of the strike zone, yet we are still swinging at balls in our eyes. Plus only above 30% of the pitches I've seen him throw are actually in the strike zone. Do our hitters not pay attention to what's going on and just dick around in the dugout until its their time to hit?
why are we not making him throw strikes, instead of swinging at balls out of the strike zone. For those of you with hailstatetv watch the warmups.
another thing I've picked up on, after watching one inning, Pollorena never throws a pickoff to first if he looks toward home. Any good team will notice this and start taking second. He is looking at 1st base the entire time, every time, he throws over. Good base stealers will exploit this. But based on how little our players have been coached in these areas, I'd be willing to bet that most of our opponents hasn't been informed of these things either. Time will tell if others pick up.
