he's still like "and they didn't even hit the ball that good" that guy was hilarious.

LOL, the color guy was constantly talking about “seeing eye” hits -“and how few balls were “barreled up. “

All while they fail to mention the fact that both Macnamee and Foscue roped the ball for outs.

On a different note, I know that I shouldn’t be complaining about being able to actually see these games on tv, but the camerawork could really use some help. Whoever’s in charge on switching camera has been 2-3 seconds slow at least three different times tonight, and it’s really frustrating

Belmonte (color guy) is awful and has been for years. Occasionally he will say something smart but most of the time he has very situationally unaware.

Agreed. I’m usually not picky about announcers but Belmonte has been awful.

They need some new material for sure. Jake's nicknames and the tiki lounge are old.

They've also given us some great pub the last half hour or so and relaying what the other teams had to say about our fans. It's good to be king.

I don’t think they’ve been biased at all. Very complimentary of our atmosphere and team. They’re just not good announcers.

That was the thing for me. For MSU all they had was Jake and the stadium.

All other insights about players or the game were mostly about Thug U. Tell me one other MSU player you heard more than a comment or two about other than Jake.

It wasn't biased, it was lazy work, other than begging for food. Where was the story about 4 coaches in 4 years? Gordon? They talked about Miami's youth but never mentioned all of our Sophs or returning JRs.

I also got tired of hearing Belmonte try to tell us how Lemonis was not calling the proper defense in the field when he had not lost a game. Maybe there is a reason you aren't a coach anymore.

The only thing I can figure is that they were playing to the FLA market.

Just tell me they won't be here next week.

They were mostly complimentary, but obviously very lazy.

You pull one of the best gigs in the country. People treat you like kings.

Take a few hours to do your damn homework.

They DID tell us that cool story about how Lemonis brought that 2-strike chest-pound with him from Indiana, where his hitters did that last year...

Which was totally wrong. (We did that last year - Gautreau thing)

Several times, I thought we were facing the 27 Yankees with how much they talked about “power”.

One of them might actually be from Miami. He said a player's mom is his mail lady and told him when her son had committed to UM in 9th grade.

I've had this same complaint. Whoever is directing the camera changes may not have seen a baseball game before.

Announcers weren't "bad," but they definitely made me want to thank Jim Ellis for being the superb caller he is.
During the first UM/CMU game, I clearly remember the Miami announcer (I was listening in over 790 am "The Ticket") begin to describe the CMU pitcher: "The pitcher is tall and wipes the sweat from his beard, then reaches down and adjust his pants as he stands with one foot slightly in front of the other..I believe its the right foot...after getting his pants situated he grabs his ball cap with his left hand and adjusts it...."
Again, Jim Ellis, if you're one here....THANK YOU FOR DOING YOU

Several times he wanted us to quit holding the runner on first and give the first baseman more room to field.

I assumed we were holding the guy on first, not because he represented the tying or go-ahead run, but to keep the double play in effect. It's hard to turn two in the middle if you don't have a play at second.

I understand if he disagreed with the strategy, but the fact he never acknowledged the strategy made me think he didn't recognize it at all and just thought we were dumber than he is.

^ I agree with this take. They were quite complimentary, just not very adept or well prepared.

I married into a Miami family. My wife's folks were born and raised there. They left in the 60s. Most of the family down there is gone now, but there are still a couple left. The last time we were down was for a funeral. It's a different place. The folks say it isn't remotely what it was when they were growing up in the 40s and 50s.

I thought it was funny when Liebelt came in and the color guy gives a scouting

report and says his fastball will top out at 87-89 then immediately after, he throws his very first pitch at 94.
