Are we a good bet for the Music City if Vandy beats Tennessee next week?

If that happens, the Music City would be choosing between the Dores and Dawgs. Granted, Vandy would have more wins... and they're obviously right there in Nashville, but in 2008, attendance figures were pretty bad for their game against Boston College. Gotta think tourism wise, too. Hotels and the downtown area in general would get a lot more revenue from State fans.<div>

to get MSU rather that Vandy. Can you imagine the attendance of a Houston-Vandy or USM-Vandy game? It would be in the 10's of hundreds.

Now imagine the attendance of an MSU-Houston or MSU-USM Liberty Bowl. Probably sellouts.

I would rather go to Nashville, but we will need to win the next 2 to guarantee any higher than Memphis. And frankly, I don't see our Offense (with those receivers and that offensive line) playing Arkansas as well as Auburn did today.

But if most fans are like me, they made a 2 night reservation for Nashville, but only a 1 night reservation for Memphis. And I would guess about 20,000 MSU fans will travel to Memphis day of game and go back home after. So the city of Memphis probably wants someone other than us for revenue. And Nashville probably wants someone other than Vandy for the same reason.
