Hopefully the 76 Reds, even betterWe are the Cincinnati Reds, the 1975 Cincinnati Reds!

Iām supporting Pope regardless and Iām happy to see how this plays out. But good luck anybody convincing me Mark Pope thought Donovan Dent wouldnāt fit his system. Are we losing out on the best players because of being outspent by the bigger money teams? Or is Mark Pope looking for players that fit his system?
Good lord some of you are nuts, do you realize some of the best talent has not even hit the portal yet.Are we losing out on the best players because of being outspent by the bigger money teams? Or is Mark Pope looking for players that fit his system? You gotta have some slashers who can score to break down defenses, and Oweh isnāt enough.
If memory serves, I think Flagship of college basketball was also a name we had/have.I'll tell yah, knowing thousands of Yankee fans, it's a one-way comparison lol. Again, leave the state once in a while. No one in NY is comparing the Yankees to Kentucky basketball, at least not anytime recently.
Nah, won't have as many shutout against us!!!!Are we losing out on the best players because of being outspent by the bigger money teams? Or is Mark Pope looking for players that fit his system? You gotta have some slashers who can score to break down defenses, and Oweh isnāt enough.
Maybe we get Walter Clayton from Florida? Or Haugh? Just kidding . . . . .Good lord some of you are nuts, do you realize some of the best talent has not even hit the portal yet.
I love players with character and even more players with high character who are superstars. He was talking about character.
What do I know? Iām from the West part of the state and firm baseball Cardinals fan.Hopefully the 76 Reds, even better![]()
They literally just won the pennant and played for the WS.I'm a Yankees fan but they haven't really been relevant since about 2009. Let's go with we need to be the new age Dodgers!
I donāt who is saying these rumors because at the end of the year was the rumor was weāre had plenty of cash and even some left over from this year. We supposedly had around 8-10 million ready for the portal. Thatās pretty well funded. The money rumors being an issue with Uk so far do look accurate. Hope not tho
Heās not actively trying to destroy anything. What heās trying to do is put America on level ground with other nations that have been R@ping us with export taxes for ever while we give them hardly tax any country for any goods imported here. The hope is that since our economy is so beneficial to the world that they end up moving toward an actual free trade type alliance or lower taxes for all our goods being exported and imported. It will suck in the short run but be highly beneficial in the long run. If you donāt believe me check out the taxes on goods other countries have levied on us. From Canada, Mexico, China, Cambodia, Vietnam, Taiwan, and even the European Union. We canāt even export American made cars to a lot of nations because they wonāt even allow it. Regardless of how you feel I probably shouldnāt have responded because this thread is not the place for it. Go Cats.We are a middle market team with middle market money. The honest answer is yes, or no. Because we do have more legitimate history then the Reds, but it wonāt be surprising if we are a consistent top 20 team that has to win with strategy, coaching, and teamwork if we want to make Final Fours.
That isnāt what anyone wants to hear, but this is Kentucky. We are small, poor, and our president is actively trying to destroy the stateās primary export. So ya know.
Iām confident we will consistently be one of the better teams in the country. We will be better than most, but if the college landscape shifts to one where money is the key factor in success we will never be able to compete every year by outspending 99% of our competition. It just isnāt happening.
Our Reds are going to try and tie the record of 4 consecutive 0-1 losses tomorrow.Just because my Reds haven't scored in 28 innings doesn't make them bad.
Feel you man. As a Reds fan, there is no hope. Hope is just a player we develop into an everyday starter and lose to free agency or trade off as they prepare to ascend into greatness.Just because my Reds haven't scored in 28 innings doesn't make them bad.
How many times has a team lost 3 games in a row by a 1-0 score?????!!!Just because my Reds haven't scored in 28 innings doesn't make them bad.
OH FFS...We are the Oakland A's in Moneyball. We can't compete with the bigger market teams. Our NIL budget is...what? $10-12 million? The AVERAGE in the SEC is $14M. We can't even compete in our own conference.Welcome to BBN big guy. We have been great for 100+ years.

We definitely seem well funded at the moment donāt we? Missing on targets left and right in the NIL age sure indicates that huh?I donāt who is saying these rumors because at the end of the year was the rumor was weāre had plenty of cash and even some left over from this year. We supposedly had around 8-10 million ready for the portal. Thatās pretty well funded.

This is where I'm at too.Iām supporting Pope regardless and Iām happy to see how this plays out. But good luck anybody convincing me Mark Pope thought Donovan Dent wouldnāt fit his system.
You lost all credibility after those 5 words.Itās not about the moneyā¦ā¦
Some people have preference money and something, playing style, being close to home etc. The biggest offer sometimes doesnāt always win. Donāt know if true or not Iāve heard of kids getting being offered more money but take less to go to a school with a better offense for their game or coach or etc.You lost all credibility after those 5 words.
Feel you man. As a Reds fan, there is no hope. Hope is just a player we develop into an everyday starter and lose to free agency or trade off as they prepare to ascend into greatness.
Damn guys, don't be badmouthing my Reds. My teams since 1958, listening on transistor radio. "This is the old left-hander rounding third and heading for home." RIP. Joe NuxhallI hope not , I spent 3 decades following g them , now couldnāt name a player( ok elly ) . Donāt watch a single game ,
But it sometimes does usually win.The biggest offer sometimes doesnāt always win.
