Are you allowed to carry-on cowbells when flying?*

Yes. About 1 out of 5-10 times, the TSA agent will ask to look in your bag after seeing it on the Xray. In fact, I became part of a TSA training moment when a supervisor pointed out to a trainee that some people from the South take farm equipment to sporting events.

Trainee, "I cannot comprehend why anyone would do this, but now I know."

Slive arranged for the TSA to ban all artificial noise makers on domestic and international flights. This only applies to traveling SEC fans though so give the bell to the Michigan guy sitting next to you and you are good to go.

We actually are so paranoid about people taking away the cowbell that we have to ask questions like this. And yes, yes you can. Strangely enough, outside the SEC, a set of nail clippers are considered more dangerous than a cowbell. Thanks SLIVE!
