Argentina/South Korea thoughts

Maybe Maradonna does know what he is doing? I still have my doubts, but I'm pretty sure I could put 11 Argentines out there and win the majority of the games with the players they have. Messi is finally starting to play like he does at Barca, which could be bad news for the rest of the world.

On the plus side, there has been an explosion in scoring in the second round- 8 goals through 2 games. Hopefully this continues.

Any success Argentina has will be in spite of Maradona, not because of Maradona. When you have Messi, Mascherano, Milito, Tevez, etc... there's a pretty good chance you're going to have a good team. Was a little surprised that Maradona didn't select Cambiasso, though.

Interestingly, Germany's Bundesliga used the Jubulani ball all year in league play. Probably no coincidence they ripped off 4 goals in their first game.

I think the players are getting more comfortable with the ball and with playing together. The matches should just get better as we go forward.
