It's not mat rust he was fine at the all star match and hasn't been hurt. It's in his head he lost and couldn't shake it which lead to more losses. If the matches weren't over a 2 day period he doesn't go 1-3.
Mental side is a factor, but I’m saying rust is too. I don’t remember him giving up many short time TDs. That’s the speed of competition going a little faster than he’s ready for.

165 - Routledge drops a 10-9 decision after being taken down with like 10-15 seconds left.

Why did Lockett not go?

Routledge falls 10-9, but looked good imo. Had a 3 to 2 takedown advantage, but #17 Ruiz was better on top. Kody was tired by the end, which isn't surprising since he cut down and wrestled 157 about 36 hours ago

I wish we could track how many matches we have lost in the last 30 seconds while holding a lead. It's a lot. Why? This is the one are we are severally lacking in.

There is some rust there. He didn’t wrestle for almost a year and he did have a minor issue with his knee coming off the all star dual.

I don’t think either is a major reason for his struggles but are factors.

Some of it might be that this staff doesn’t want these guys running or stalling to get wins at this time of the year. They want them to stay aggressive and keep shooting. KR could of run there the last 20 seconds and given up another stall but stayed engaged and unfortunately it cost him.

This is EXACTLY it. You nailed it, and I get that but we need to revert to winning strategy with less than a minute to go. It is costing us matches. And in a few cases...duals.
