Because we had their coach last year and we could be sweating another year of possible NIT

Very relevant discussion
I guess I can see how it might help if you’re still holding onto the Cal vs Pope dynamic. I moved on a long time ago. Cal isn’t the coach, he won’t be the coach here again. Seeing Arkansas fail doesn’t soften the blow of losses for me. I don’t miss Cal. I don’t care about Cal. I’m ecstatic that we have Pope. I still believe we are on a path toward some unparalleled dominance before long under Pope. However, this loss stings regardless of whether Arkansas lost by 83 points to Northwest Seattle State in my mind.

Well it does lessen the sting of Cal beating us at Rupp, knowing he probably won’t be dancing and our new coach will.

I guess if that helps you. I wonder how long it is going to take some people to move on. We are solidly into the Pope era, no need to be worried about what a bottom four SEC team is doing.

I mean I guess. I don’t really care about Arkansas. They suck but that doesn’t make our loss any better

The only thing that might suck is IF they do get in the tourney and win a game and we get bounced, THAT will suck.

You don’t need to be so eager to buy into his sleight of hand while he’s busy sneaking shade about you into your thread like, “I wonder how long it is going to take some people to move on.”

Your statement “we could be sweating another year of possible NIT” is objectively true.

And it’s objectively true whether or not “you’re still holding onto the Cal vs Pope dynamic.”

It’s legitimately something to be thankful for. I think he’s rejecting being thankful for that now because that’s his way of dealing with the frustration of losing today (and probably also losing our FF chances for the year with Jaxson going under the knife). That’s a perfectly cool way for him to be dealing with that frustration personally. But it’s less cool to see him channeling that into bullying you with social pressure, which is exactly what he’s doing here.

Good on you to take the high road and seek common ground over it. But just so you know, socially it was kind of a swindle and you didn’t need to opt for it. You had the right of it and people see that.

What in the world are you talking about lol? I don’t have to care about Arkansas and he’s allowed to. From my view of things, it makes little sense to me but that’s what makes the world work. I’m not some social magician with magic tricks. Pope is the coach not Cal and I’m happy with Pope. I’m probably the most pro-Pope guy on this website and you tried to gaslight me and act like what I was saying meant something entirely different than what I’m saying. Arkansas is, at this juncture, irrelevant to us or should be in my mind. There is no alternate reality, only the one we live in.

It's not just a loss. It's a 19-point loss to the last place team in the conference. It's very probably the worst loss by any team in the country today that still hoped to make the Tournament.

By the way —Listening to Calipari post-game and he’s trying to sell the BS that South Carolina —-1-14 in conference going in— is a Top Ten team in the country at home…Today was a bad day for Kentucky against the best team in the country but listening to that snake oil makes me count my blessings.

typical cal. easy closing schedule, had done just enough to that point, and now probably won’t win the games they should. they’re at vandy then host msu. that’s probably 2 losses.
Lose both and they are likely out

Vandy has a really good coach by the way

You bullied him in his own thread man. That was ********. Deal with your frustrations fairer ways.

I like you as a poster but you bullied him, I don’t like it, and I told him he shouldn’t have to put up with it. That’s the reality we live in.

Their entire resume is the win over us that should never have happened.
