Can someone explain to me how a team who wasnt in the Top 25 got votes, then went on to lose 3 strainght conference games against teams they were probably supposed to or favored to beat, and STILL receive votes in both the AP and the Coaches poll? I just dont think i understand how people can still be impressed with what theyve done the past few weeks. Beat 2 top 10 teams. Great. Congratulations. But lose 3 straight to unranked conference opponents, I simply dont get it.

I think the country continues to have the Big 12 overrated. Texas and Oklahoma were good football teams, but both did not deserve to be in the national championship talk, as both of thier basketball teams should be somewhere in the Top 25 , but Top 10 is stretching it.

No, Im just saying that if you arent in the Top 25, the proceed to lose your next 3 games, I personally dont believe you deserve to continue to get votes as one of the top 25 teams in the country.

Gary Parrish at cbs.sportsline.com has an awesome blog entry every Monday called Poll Attacks. he basically points out the absurdities and inconsistencies in both major polls.
he then targets voters in the AP poll that he feels screwed up royally. there is some writer in Montana that is apparently 1 week behind in his voting and is always slow to rank teams and slow to unrank teams.

...the polls don't mean squat since there is actually a play-off system.

Which means Dickie V. can blow kisses to Duke & North Carolina all he wants; if they are ranked in the top 5 yet get bounced from the second round of the tournament, then tough ****. They are done, regardless of how many excuses Dickie V. & all the other ACC-loving idiots make for them.

that a guy living in Kentucky who his friends say smells like a bum's nutsack would consistently try to get on me...
