They grabbed who they could as fast as they could. They will not be tied up into all the craziness that is coming.

Let's assume that Silverfield, with a month left of a regular season that might get his program into the playoffs, has informally agreed to be the next coach for Arkansas. Leaking that would be astronomically stupid and piss him off and kill that deal. He will have other options.

Will bigly laugh if Arkansas is this dumb. Actually, they are dumber than this dumb which is why they probably end up with Bobby P.

Yeah, if they hire Silverfield it won't be this quick. Most of their boosters want to keep Bobby P.
Really? Wow. Didn't he get fired as a failure at Louisville? We all know about his lack of impulse control and horrible decision making in his first run at Arkansas.

IMO he would be a terrible hire. That being said, I hope they hire him to a huge buyout 15 year contract.

Memphis has to win out AND win the conference championship game to make the playoffs. Not gonna be easy with Navy and likely playing USF again in the AAC championship.
Memphis lost to UAB the week after they fired their coach. They don't deserve to be anywhere near the playoffs.

And if Arkansas hired Silverfield, it would just make me angry that they fell off our schedule next year.

Every hawg fan I see on the socials is convinced the penalties were all due to the officials actively trying to screw them over to help us.
Obviously we are the SEC front office's darling. Everybody is always complaining about the SEC putting their thumb on the scales for Alabama and Mississippi State. It's why we've had such an easy schedule the last two years.

Seems like a really solid hire to me, though I don’t keep up with Memphis football like some on here do.

The one problem I’d have with it if state was hiring silverfield is, seems like every coach has success at Memphis recently .
