This could really throw a monkey wrench into the SEC West and National Championship Race. I think everyone just assumed that the winner of the Bama/LSU game will be the BCS champion. LSU has struggled in the past with the Hogs.
If Arkansas were to win out, would they win SEC west?

I think either LSU or Bama would still win. Hypothetically if all of these teams only have 1 loss on their record to each other, there's no way that Arkansas should realistically be able to jump Alabama with not only Alabama having the head to head against the hogs, but also the method of how they won. I don't see them jumping Bama for those 2 reasons. If LSU were to lose, however, I do think the possibility of Bama jumping them is rather legitimate. Arkansas will pretty much be this years TTU in the 3 team race in the Big 12 a few years ago if that were to happen.

Bama Beat Arkansas, LSU beat Bama, Arkansas beat LSU. I'm with you, Dental. The LSU/Arkansas rivalry has been a **** storm in and of itself the past 6 or so years. Even at LSU, I wouldn't be too surprised if this scenario actually happened.

 1. (Once the tie has been reduced to two teams, go to the two-team tie-breaker format.)
 2. Combined head-to-head record among the tied teams.
 3. Record of the tied teams within the division.
 4. Head-to-head competition vs. the team within the division with the best overall (divisional and non-divisional) Conference record and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last.
 5. Overall record vs. non-division teams.
 6. Combined record vs. all common non-divisional teams.
 7. Record vs. common non-divisional team with the best overall Conference (divisional and non-divisional) record and proceeding through other common non-divisional teams based on their order of finish within their division.
 8. The tied team with the highest ranking in the Bowl Championship Series Standings following the last weekend of regular-season games shall be the divisional representative in the SEC Championship Game, unless the second of the tied teams is ranked within five-or-fewer places of the highest ranked tied team. In this case, the head-to-head results of the top two ranked tied teams shall determine the representative in the SEC Championship Game.

This would go all the way to No. 8 because these teams only losses would be to eachother (all with 1 loss). I would have to assume this would mean the team with the highest BCS ranking would go to the SECCG. And I agree, this could get very interesting. 3 teams in the SECW with only 1 loss? And it COULD happen. Even the year the Mad Hatter won his Nat'l Title, they lost to Kentucky and Arkansas that year.

If LSU only loses to Arkansas, and Arkansas and Bama both wins out, more than likely that will mean Bama will probably be therepresentativeif they're able to jump LSU. But then again, because of LSU and Bama's head to head, that could push LSU into the championship game. Because Bama blew Arkansas out, I think UPig effectively kept themselves out of the SECCG if all 3 teams have 1 loss.

of the stick right out of the gate. It would come down to either LSU or Alabama, should that happen. I think we have a hard time winning in Little Rock. We'll see what happens, but Arkansas plays at another level their last 2 games of the season (except in 2008).
