This is why we don’t deserve nice things. First of all, High Point would beat us. They just would. As an objective fan, that was so fun to watch. Richmond was incredible. Credit to Arkansas. They won. Who gives a crap how they did it? Can we grow up? It is so pathetic.

I said in another thread it’s unreal how bad Edwards and Wagner were as frosh compared to acuff and Thomas.
I just saw what our team is missing, an Acuff.
That was the exact type game (low seed obscure name) that Cal was losing at Kentucky.
He wins when he has an elite point guard like Wall, Ulis, Fox, SGA, Acuff. But Wheeler, Askew etc. not so much. He needs the elite point guards, they’ll go as far as Acuff takes them

Why not?! We beat THAT Arkansas team AT Arkansas. And fairly easily too.
They got lucky, HIgh Point tied the game with a bit over 3 minutes then played stupid the rest of the game, shooting 3's on the first pass when they could have gotten that shot later in the shot clock.

That was also a horrible stylistic matchup for a Cal team, so I take it back when I said HP would likely beat us. I think we clear them, but Arkansas is better than we are. Regardless, they should get waxed by Arizona.

I mean, maybe. We beat their asses convincingly AT Arkansas. Maybe they are, maybe they aren’t. More raw talent, yes. However, Cal is an abysmal coach at best.
We don't 'suck'. The record just isn't as great as we'd like, and we're very inconsistent. We'll find out tomorrow whether they're as focused as they need to be.

Probably would be a close game like SCU was, but it's unfair to state we would lose, when we beat the team Highpoint was playing.
