My comment was not a super deep analysis lol. It was just the basic fact that UK beat Arkansas. Therefore it unreasonable to think that UK couldn't beat Highpoint.

This is a completely non-controversial post someone will take issue with. I don’t think we have an obsession with Arkansas. It’s natural to follow the trajectory of the team your former coach is in charge of. It’s not that deep.
I do think we were coping so hard saying “wow barely beat High Point” and things like that. High Point is legit good. Also, who cares what path a team takes during their run or the way they play? All the history books remember is whether you won. Let’s do the same against ISU today.

I disagree somewhat. I think SOME on your board has an obsession with Ark. The first two threads I read when I came here were about Arkansas. The first was titled "Arkansas" and the other one was about who would be the worst to win the 2026 Natty, with "Arkansas" being one of the three. I dont take any issue with your post at all. I do disagree with some of it. I havent followed Musselman since he left. Couldnt even tell you anything about either of his first two years at USC.

Fact, regardless of Kentucky beating us this year, we still had the better season with the better coach. 22 million couldnt buy you a conference tournament, conference championship, and doubtful you make it past the round of 32. In fact, 22 million couldnt even hide your current coaches shortcomings. If you cant see that, then its obvious you have anal glaucoma. You guys wanted Cal gone, and you got what you wished for. The cal we traded for isn’t the same cal you have currently. The cal we had was fat and lazy and an overall POS. The cal you have currently is rejuvenated for the time being and riding the success of a generational talent in Acuff. Cal still cannot coach for **** but he is one of the best recruiters in the game and for that I give him credit. As for pope, he will be gone after next year (I would have fired his *** back in December) and we will continue on. We have had 5 coaches win national titles here, our next coach will do the same. The only thing I am more certain of than that is that cal will never win another title, I told our whole board as such after watching him squander 2015.

You have to suffer thru the down times to get to the highs, and Ky couldnt. He didnt get Fat and Lazy, what happened is KY got greedy. You cant be national champions every year. Every team has down years. Duke, UCONN, Kansas, etc. have all had them. If I were a coach, you couldnt pay me to coach at KY because the fans are so dilusional. As far as Pope goes, he wont get fired next year either. Your AD stepped down and a new AD isnt going to fire the BB coach his first year, so sit back and enjoy the ride.

This is such a stupid comment, that I don't even know where to start. Cal was breaking records, and they weren't the good kind. 1 NCAA tournament win in 5 seasons. During that same run, zero SEC titles, zero SEC championships, and I think we only had 1 or 2 SEC tournament wins. In his last season, Cal was absolutely loaded in the back court. Between Reeves, Dilly, Shep; but Cal absolutely refused to play them together. Why? Because he had some higher ranked kids from the same class, that just weren't as good. Cal couldn't compute in his brain how to bench them in favor of 2 lottery picks and 3 first rounders. All over HS rankings.
I would much rather have his current team than the one we have now.
