Cal's defense was atrocious down the stretch, holy moly.
When you go from the Vandy/Nebraska game where guys are in each other's shorts all game.. to the turnstile that is Cals defense.. its jarring.
Thats why he really needs the right assistants. I think Cal just chooses to not focus as much on defense.

This is Dumb. I've been on this board for over twenty years. Yeah, i'm an Arkansas fan. I live in Kentucky. Moved here from Little Rock in the early nineties. Daughters born here, Partied here, got sober here [22 years by the grace of God] I've got hundreds of UK friends and family that i have made over the last thirty years. Y'all got my dad, he is a UK Fan. Son-in-law is a UK Fan. Did Boot Camp at Knox out of HS and swore i'd never step foot in Kentucky again but followed my folks here when the moved and love it here. I hunt in Casey County every Fall, Lake Nolin is my favorite recreational spot in the Summer. I require zero validation from UK Fans. I love talking hoops and always will.

For the last two years, every you tube video i watch on Arkansas or Calipari is flooded with Mad UK Fans, spouting BS about how bad he's gonna suck and just wait and see. He's 4-1 in NCAA Tourney and now has added an SEC Tourney Championship since becoming our head coach and we are good with that. We love Ellen, she' a great, great human and lady. Calipari appears extremely happy and living his best life. We love him.

High Point would have been a tough out for anyone. Regardless of Cals last years here, I saw a coach changing offensive sets and defense last night at the right time. I saw a coach use 7 guys total to win , what ended being , a tough, huge game. Cal has been a great coach. Like someone said earlier, time for some of you grow up. Cal has nothing to do with our current team. There is more talk about Cal here than there is about Pope. Pope deserves all credit and blame.
Unfortunately for the pigs, the road for Arkansas ends next game.
I mean this with no disrespect, because I do think Arkansas is a solid team this season, nobody wants Cal back at UK. Zero percent. Mark Pope, who’s not a good coach, has tripled Cals NCAA wins in his first two years vs Cals last five. Cal found some new juice when he left but it was very clear he was never going to be an elite coach at Kentucky again. We can do better. We can do better than Pope, too.
All else aside. Playing only seven players wasn’t a genius strategy. Not sure they have an eighth at this point. Probably a positive for Calipari. Like the 2012 team. Not comparing the two teams obviously but the rotation limitations.
Our last real high with cal was 2019 with getting to the elite 8 and watch cal lose to Auburn (a team we had beaten already) that was now missing their best player. As another poster already eluded too winning 1 NCAA tournament game over the next 5 seasons is not acceptable here, hardly getting greedy. Cal didn’t like our fans and we didn’t like him for a myriad of reasons. I hope the prick is never welcomed back to Rupp. He can retire a hog and celebrate his sweet 16 banners as far as I’m concerned.

I Am a Razorback fan. I only came here to apologize for the one or two Arkansas fans that joined this forum and are making fools of themselves on here. The majority of us are not that way.
Most of us recognize that Kentucky has a good team and beat us at our house. You all have also had a tougher schedule. Head to head, Pope has not done much worse at Kentucky than Cal has done at Arkansas, with a harder schedule.

Seems like Arkansas doesn't play tough defense until last 4 minutes of the game. Someone said it has to do with only playing 6 players. Can't afford foul trouble.

Nah he’s still just out talenting everyone. He has a top 5 talented roster in the country and got a 4 seed. He’s had an easy road in both the SECT and NCAAT thus far. His run ends against Arizona.
High Point is legit good. 31 win team that shoots the 3 and plays very hard. Beat a tough Wisconsin team and it wasn't a fluke. We need to worry about ISU. The basketball gods gave us a gift by removing their best player. Should be a very winnable game.

Most of us knew Santa Clara was going to be a toss up which it obviously turned out to be. We are a 7 seed playing a 2, we are 5.5 point underdogs, we aren’t expected to win and many, myself included, don’t think we will win. What are you going to do come back over and rub a loss in our face we were expected to get? That’s a strong flex. Be like me running to your board to laugh when you lose to Arizona but I promise you I won’t waste my time doing that or even look for this thread to do the same. Arkansas means jack **** to me win or lose. Cal means jack **** to me win or lose.
